Hi Guys,
Noticed a weird bug on my T-Mobile branded G1 (HTC Dream).
When typing an SMS, if I manually enter an apostrophe when the system wants to automatically insert an apostrophe, it causes the maximum amount of characters per SMS to register as 60. Further to this, recipients of these texts have either the latter part of the message replaced with random characters/square symbols, or have an "@" sign between each character.
This only seems to occur if I manually enter the apostrophe, i.e. I hit the keys "i" "alt+w" and "m". If I just hit I and m and allow the system to enter the apostrophe automatically nothing occurs.
Now I know the obvious fix is just don't hit the damn apostrophe button, but this problem took me AGES to diagnose, as I just couldnt seem to spot the pattern of what was causing it, so I thought a) I'd let other users know incase they are experiencing the same problem and b) I am curious to see if anyone else has discovered this problem?
To test for it just type "i" "alt+w" and "m" and then continue writing a message and see how many characters your mobile allows per message. If it decides only 60 characters per SMS, try sending it to another mobile and seeing if the message body is scrambled/replaced by squares/has "@"signs between every character.

Hi Guys,
