Penberrom2 [Codename: Lightning Bolt] V6.1

Si tratta di una PACman ICS rom modificata.

Cosa non funziona:
- Weather doesn't update on Lockscreen & statusbar
- same bugs as every other CM9 based ROM (random reboots/demigod crash/panorama preview is reversed)

custom bootanimation created by djwuh (Thanks Diego)
replaced Trebuchet with Smart Launcher
replaced DSP Manager with ViPER4Android FX (V4A thread)
supercharged services.jar (launcher stays in memory + better multitasking)
boost in performance
swap2cache terminal script creates a 64mb swapfile in /cache with swappiness set to 40
swap2data terminal script creates a 128mb swapfile in /data with swappiness set to 40
increased responsiveness through various GPU tweaks
better battery life
fast boot (reduced bootup time)
zipalign apk's on boot
defrag databases on boot
entropy tweak (provides significant lag reduction)
I/O scheduler tweaks
sleeper tweaks
hardware rendering tweaks (GPU > CPU)
improved sdcard read/write speed
disables logger (basically logcat disabled by default)
disables journalism (provides an increase in performance)
disables vsync (might cause graphical issues, but it helps speed things up)
ADJ tweaks
vm tweaks
ram tweaks
kernel tweaks
disabled CPU rendering, now renders with adreno libs
video/music streaming tweaks
various useful terminal scripts (I'll mark those down)
increased jpeg + video recording quality
2D+3D performance enhancement tweaks
call tweaks
sysctl tweaks

Terminal Scripts:
avc - avcore by LENAROX
boost - instant ram boost, drops cache
cpuramcheck - checks CPU & RAM usage in realtime
flush - drops cache and frees RAM, also shows true free RAM
gm - modded version of boost, also kills media server
hc - hyper cola v2.6, gives a boost in gaming but causes battery drain, reboot to deactivate
lights - toggles key backlight on or off
lightsoff - turns off key backlight
lightson - turns on key backlight
sclean - wipes cache & dalvik-cache & reboots all at once, I recommend running this once a week
swap2cache - creates a 64mb swapfile in /cache/swap/ with swapiness set to 40 (virtual RAM in internal memory, could be risky)
swap2data - creates a 128mb swapfile in /data/swap/ with swapiness set to 40 (virtual RAM in internal memory, could be risky)

Per utilizzarli, è necessario lanciare l'emulatore terminale:
prima di tutto digitare "su" (senza le virgolette)
quindi premere Invio (tasto Invio)
ora si possono eseguire i comandi
infine basta premere Invio per eseguirli

sysctl tweaks got a huge update, I took my time with it for a good reason (one of the better changes I made)

V5.5(31/10/2013):
NEW!! MGS4 UI sounds and notifications, properly converted this time.
NEW!! Added & updated some xbin scrpits (avc/hc/sclean) I recommend running sclean every week for a quick tuneup
EXPERIMENTAL!! Added latest fluid engine script (89fluid_engine init.d script only!) Let's see how this plays out
Tweaked/Updated a couple of init.d scripts, the PenberEngine ones, working smoothly so far
Removed Nitros Lag Nulifier

V5.2[Minor update, fixed several things](10/10/2013):
Updated gps.conf
The init.d scripts in v5.1.1 weren't favorable, I got rid of them and replaced them with the Project PenberEngine ones

Tweaked build.prop slightly
Optimized system apps
Attempted to switch to Google Keyboard as default input method (Experimental)

LMT (PIE) works as a system app by default now, it's included so we now have PIE

Non l'ho provata, dì al tuo amico di provare scaricare dal play store l'app gratuita "more locale", con le rom ginger funziona, con le ics non l'ho mai provata; se funziona faccelo sapere, può tornare utile agli altri...

ok , faccio sapere qui! Cmq intanto provava l'ultima nightly cm9...ha uno strano problema con tutte le cm9, praticamente gli capitano FC in continuazione, con kernel base e kernel modificato :\

Si, le cm9 non conviene metterle se si vuole stabilità, meglio una cm9 modificata (come appunto la penberrom)o una cm10...

Il mio amico ha flashato la rom qualche ora fa...per adesso ha avuto solo 2 FC (dopo aver installato le prime applicazioni) e non ha ancora provato il gps. Per quanto riguarda la lingua, con morelocale2 ( o con le altre applicazioni simili), si riesce ad impostare la lingua italiana ma il menu delle impostazioni della rom resta in inglese.
