Mobile Software Developer - Junior
Full time in Balerna, Switzerland

Geneva Lab/G-Lab GmbH is a fast growing Swiss based consumer electronics company with worldwide sales.
For our new Development office - located in Balerna, Switzerland, 5 minutes driving from the Chiasso border – we are now looking for a young, passionate Mobile Software Developer. S/he will develop and maintain the Mobile Apps interacting with our products and Web services, in Audio and other projects. S/he will be responsible of the “look and feel” of our Mobile Apps, work closely with our engineer, sales and marketing staff to optimize user experience, draft sketches, mock ups and propose idea for new projects in the pipeline. If you are a resident of Italy, we will assist to get the necessary cross-boarder Swiss work permit.

Our own engineering team located in Switzerland and in China, as well as outsourced to third party spe******ts from around the world, develops new products. Job Description

You will be joining our hardware and software development team in Canton Ticino. The team is responsible for the electronics/software/web developments of our new products.
What you will do:
• Develop and maintain Mobile Apps, enforcing a consistent “look and feel” across multiple projects
• Work closely with marketing and sales for new products launch and presentation
• Coordinate and project manage outsourced consultants, copywriters and translators when needed

We expect you to be passionate about your job: you know the ins and outs of mobile development, you are in touch with the latest trends in the market and have strong opinions about what is right and what is wrong.
Whatever technology or tool you used, we expect you mastered it in depth and that you are able to prove it. We also expect you will learn and master whatever technology or tool we will decide to use in the future

Requirements
• 1/2 years experience in mobile development (iOS and/or Android)
• Knowledge of related languages and SDKs (HTML5, Objective C, Java, xCode, Eclipse etc.)
• Understanding of web standards, web protocols and web APIs
• Good English, oral and written
• As usual: self-driven, team player, proactive, detail-oriented, high communication skills etc.

• Knowledge of Usability testing
• Practice of Agile: Scrum, Lean, Kanban etc.
• Proficiency with the tools used in graphic and web design: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Quark or other equivalent
• Video editing
• Social media experience
• Test driven development
• Responsive Design
• GIT, SVN, sqlite
