Ne avevamo parlato circa un mese fa e fino ad oggi non avevamo ricevuto altre conferme sulla sua esistenza, proprio per questo ci ha pensato il GFC, Global Certification Forum, a rilasciare nuove informazioni sul prossimo tablet Android made by ASUS che potrebbe avere funzionalità telefoniche, cioè il FonePad.
Secondo le ultime indiscrezioni l’ASUS FonePad, oltre ad essere il primo tablet del produttore taiwanese ad avere funzionalità telefoniche, sarebbe anche il primo del mercato Android a ricevere il supporto di chipset Intel (CPU x86).
Il tablet è stato inserito nel database del GFC, il quale ha inoltre confermato il nome e la presenza del supporto alle reti GSM/HSDPA:

Vedremo se questa nuova scommessa per ASUS porterà successo date le funzionalità telefoniche ed anche l’utilizzo di un chip Intel, ancora non molto apprezzato nel panorama Android.
