Dopo aver ottenuto il premio per il design e l'innovazione ottenuto nel corso del Computex 2013, l'HTC One, il nuovissimo top di gamma di casa HTC, ha ottenuto anche il premio di "Hottest New Phone for 2013", ricevuto nel corso del Mobile Industry Award 2013 (un appuntamento su base annuale a cui partecipano varie aziende del settore).
All’edizione corrente hanno partecipato 400 dirigenti delle principali società che hanno votato i vari premi da assegnare. In compenso, Samsung ha ottenuto i premi di miglior smartphone dell’anno con il Galaxy S3, miglior produttore e miglior team per il marketing, un altro segnale del dominio dell’azienda coreana.
