SAMSUNG AL LAVORO SU UNO SMARTPHONE FLESSIBILE
Il CEO della divisione mobile di Samsung DJ Koh, in un’intervista esclusiva alla CNBC, ha recentemente dichiarato che lo smartphone flessibile di cui tanto si parla potrebbe essere presentato questo novembre alla Samsung Developer Conference di San Francisco.
Koh ha inoltre affermato che il device sarebbe ancora incompleto in quanto si tratta di “un prodotto complicato da costruire”, rassicurando però circa la quasi conclusione dello sviluppo. Il nuovo device dovrebbe essere chiamato Galaxy X oppure Galaxy F, ma Koh non ha fornito ulteriori dettagli a riguardo.
“You can use most of the uses… on foldable status. But when you need to browse or see something, then you may need to unfold it. But even unfolded, what kind of benefit does that give compared to the tablet? If the unfolded experience is the same as the tablet, why would they (consumers) buy it? So every device, every feature, every innovation should have a meaningful message to our end customer. So when the end customer uses it, (they think) ‘wow, this is the reason Samsung made it’.”-DJ Koh, CEO, Samsung Mobile
Il nuovo device sarà dotato di feature esclusive per i device foldable, in modo da differenziarlo completamente rispetto a smartphone e tablet. Koh ha infine aggiunto che Samsung non ha rischiato con un form factor pieghevole, in quanto analisi di mercato e inchieste ai consumatori rivelano che è giunto il momento di realizzare un device foldable.
