Il vantaggio e prendere possesso completamente del tuo smartphone... nel caso del 6030D pochi come già detto da altri.. di solito si "sblocca" per poterci installare dei firmware alternativi al originale , io l ho fatto per togliermi dalle scatole qualsiasi programma installato di default e poco altro.. ;-)

Ti ringrazio per la risposta, peccato, ho già sostituito la console con quella modificata anche se ancora non ho completato la procedura perché ieri sera era tardi.
Con lo smartphone che avevo prima avevo dato i permessi di root per installare uno di quei softwarini che spostano una parte dei dati sulla mSD a favore di una RAM più vuota.
Link2SD se non ricordo male.
Con questo programma riuscivo a installare circa il doppio delle applicazioni che installavo normalmente.

Il telefono col root È la versione originale. Senza è la versione castrata. Ed hai gli stessi vantaggi di avere le chiavi di tutte le stanze in casa TUA.

In ogni caso, questioni di principio a parte i vantaggi sono OVVIAMENTE illimitati. Puoi fare ciò che vuoi, dal toglierti dalle palle il ridicolo menù bianco...

all installarti adblock, per bloccare la pubblicità nelle applicazioni, puoi cambiare il governor del processore, puoi installarti una home o una tastiera pensata per un altro telefono. Puoi fare cose meravigliose con tasker, la lista è infinita.

In poche parole sei tu che usi il telefono e non il telefono che usa te.

Di norma x installare un FW alternativo non serve il root, di norma il FW alternativo è ovviamente gia roottato, ma non è mica obbligatorio.

Frankly I never did it this way before.

I made a whole backup with MTK droid tools (and I spitted it in partitions), then I got all the my images from the phone itself using the TWRP recovery (you can find it on the opening post).

BTW, the start address is the one you can read when you load the scatter file in SP flash tool, AFAIK the length must be calculated by hand using the start address of the recovery and the start address of the next partition.

Indeed looks like an Alcatel thing only, meant (i guess) to easily customize a base FW shared between many models.

P.S. Be careful editing some symlinked files like build.prop or framework-res.apk or even bootanimation.zip.

You can see them in system but they are just symlinks to the original ones in /custpack. While ES-file explorer understand them perfectly, some other file manager and tweaking utilities does not. A simple DPI changer can (soft) brick your phone

In the other model Alcatel IDOL I saw option in settings "CPU power saving" but on our phone this option is missing do you know why? hardware is similar like IDOL and other option missing gesture control with hand ?

I guess they are just decisions taken when they customized the base SW that I'm sure comes from mediatek, maybe just to avoid too many options, and not for technical reasons.

If I flash Stock IDOL firmware via SP flash tool or via CWM Is it possible to work on our STAR ? :)
I read in the topic from XDA for ro.secure=1 and should be edited to ro.secure=0 for successful rooting but I root my phone and this line of code is ro.secure=1 Do you know something about it ?
