Voice Alerts - Your Android speaks

Hi Androidiani community,

I'm sorry i don't speak italian, but i want to introduce you my new Android app because i added support for italian language so i thought it would be interesting for you.

Its called Voice Alerts, actually there is only a demo version on the market but soon i will be releasing the full version, with more features and no "Demo message".

WHAT IS IT
VoiceAlerts is an application for the android mobile platform, its goal is to alert the user with speech messages when the following events occur:

Incoming/Missed Calls: Alerts the user when receives a call, speaking the name of the contact. Configure repeat mode for missed calls alert.

Time changes: it can be configured to “speak” the current time in 15,30 and 60 minutes intervals. For instance: “it is 20 hours 15 minutes”

Sms received: A voice alert informs the user that a new sms is received, it can be configured to read the content as well. And to translate the most common sms abbreviations while reading the content for instance: c u l8r -> see you later.

Battery alerts: The user can specify a battery level (for instance 5%), below that level the app alerts the user with a voice message about the current battery status. Also, when the battery is completely loaded.

Memory alerts: A voice alert informs the user when the memory level is too low. When the battery has been completely loaded…

Message on Boot: You android welcomes you with a customized message.

Application Installed/uninstalled: It will be informed when an application package is being installed or removed.

Network availability: Your android informs you when the connection to the network is interrumpted ( in an elevator or tunnel) and re-established.

Wifi connections: Informs you when your phone connects to a wifi network.
Support for different languages (Spanish, English, German, Italian and French).

Added Widget to Activate/Deactivate the App easily and quick.

Lots of new features. (Headset activation, Notifications)

A new update of Voice Alerts Full is available on the market :

In this new Version:
Little bug fixes done.
Time Alerts > 12h Format : Reads the time in 12h format.
Data Sync : Informs you when online data like emails, calendar entries, etc are being synchronized.
Speak various unread SMS : if you received some SMS, and you configure Voice Alerts to pop up a notification when you receive them, your android reads them one after another.
Soon new cool features including Twidroid integration are coming, stay tuned.

Voice Alerts is available for android 1.6 or newer powered devices, this is because the text-to-speech library was integrated in the sdk and os from this version on.

Sorry but you cannot install Voice Alerts for the moment.

Hi acorbi, I have an Acer Liquid with original rom (Android 1.6 Donut) and I looking for your application in the market, but I don't find it and the barcode of your web site give me an error for bad address.
I am very interested in your application.

You should definitively be able to find the app, i would suggest you to search on the android market for "voicealerts" or "voice alerts".

Have you already been able to install paid apps in your phone?

Hi, yes I'm abled to install paid apps in my phone.
I tried again to look for your application in the market but it tells me that has not found it. I searched for "voicealerts" or "voice alerts" and it shows me just quick voice alert that is not your.

Taht is extrange....o_O

any user reporting the same issue?

Il telefono pronuncia il nome del chiamante, ti dice che ci sono nuovi messaggi o chiamate perse, ti dice se la batteria è scarica ecc.
Il problema è che sul market non si trova anche se lo sviluppatore dice di si.

by the way, tonight i will be releasing a new version of voice alerts with a couple of new functionalities, the main one is the integration with twidroid (twitter client app) so voice alerts will be able to read your tweets!!

Io credo che non sia localizzato per gli account italiani e quindi sul market risulta inesistente.

Added TWIDROID integration, now your android phone will tell you the twitter messages the user you are following post and the replies or direct messages you received.

I wrote google explaining the problem that some of you are not be able to find the app on the android market. I have received no answer from google yet but today one guy from Milano has downloaded the full version of the app, so theoretically you should also be able to find it...

General Settings > Shake to Stop Alert: If an alert is being spoken , you can stop it by shaking the phone. WARNING: This new feature has not been tested on a real phone. Please send me an email if it does not work as expected.

New Update 1.5 released!!!

- GMAIL support: now Voice alerts read your emails out loud.
- Bluetooth activation: Voice Alerts will be activated when your phone connects to a bluetooth handsfree device.
- Language detection
- shake to stop

trovato sia in versione demo che completa con magic rav 1.6.3

i've found both versions in the market on my magic with 1.6 rom

io ho provato la demo! ma avvolte smette di funzionare o sbaglio (quando il cell sta in stand bye) e anche se ho spuntato che mi leggei l testo di twitter quando arrivano gli avvisi nn me lo legge sapete perche'?

forse perhe' nn e' la versione full?

Scusa che telefono hai? Io con Acer Liquid non lo trovo :(
