Noto Chrome OS Developer, Francois Beaufort è stato spesso citato anche sul nostro sito grazie ad alcuni interessanti dettagli riguardanti il nuovo Chrome OS ed il progetto Chromium. Proprio per questo Google avrebbe pensato di integrarlo nel proprio organico affidandogli quindi la posizione di Chromium Evangelist, come ci comunica lo stesso Beaufort sul proprio profilo Google+.
Francois Beaufort ha annunciato il suo nuovo impiego tramite il proprio profilo G+ con semplici parole:
“Mesdames et messieurs, I’m really excited to announce that I’m starting today a more formal gig as an open-source Chromium Evangelist!
It’s no secret that I love Chromium and Chromium OS and have been diving into the open source project deeply over the years. In this new role, I’ll be able to do a series of more in-depth “behind the scenes” pieces about the Chrome team, its culture, and upcoming features. (Reply to this post with topics that you’re interested in)
Finally, I’d like to take a big breath to thank you. And I mean it. It’s thanks to you that I’m able to live my dream today. Future is awesome and you’re already part of it.

Il francese Beaufort ha annunciato il proprio ruolo in Google rassicurando i propri fan, poichè la sua nuova posizione gli permetterà di scrivere articoli di approfondimento su Chrome, anche se ciò non dovrebbe più portare alla fuga di dettagli (ricordiamo l’integrazione di Google Now in Chrome e Chrome OS, il centro di notifica in Chromium ed infine il Chromebook Pixel).
