PSFreedom was written by KaKaRoTo to implement the original PS Jailbreak exploit, based in part on reverse engineering efforts by the PSGroove project.
Engineered to work with the MSM72K USB driver by DrMon.

Your PS3 must be running firmware 3.41 for this to work

Features:
Default Android features :
All features of ClockworkMod v2.5.0.9 recovery including ABD and Mass storage toggle.

PSFreedom:
A new menu-item called “PSFreedom settings” can be found in the main menu.
The menu-item will load a submenu allowing you to choose different payloads.

* Homebrew only: This is the standard payload without Blu-Ray emulation support. It does not allow you to play backups.
* Blu-Ray emulation: This is the standard payload with Blu-Ray emulation support, which allows you to play backups.
* Homebrew only with peek/poke: This is the same as “Homebrew only”, with additional peek and poke system calls. It is based on the PSGroove 1.1 payload.
* Blu-Ray emulation with peek/poke: This is the same as “Blu-Ray emulation”, with additional peek and poke system calls. It is based on the PSGroove 1.1 payload.

Usage on PS3:

* First shut your PlayStation 3 down and then flip the power switch in the back to off (on Slim models, unplug the power cable). Disconnect all USB devices (controllers, USB hard drives, etc.) from the PlayStation 3.
* Boot your phone into recovery mode, select “PSFreedom settings” and choose a payload.
* Now, plug your Desire into the front left USB port and flip the PS3′s power switch back to the on position (or plug it back in). Do not turn the PS3 on with the power button yet.
* For the next step, timing is important. You will need to push the power button and then almost immediately after press the eject button, as if drumming your fingers across the two buttons. When you are successful, the PS3 will take a bit longer to start up.
* When XMB loads, under the “Game” menu there will be two new options, ★ /app_home/PS3_GAME and ★ Install Package Files. Congratulations, you’ve jailbroken your PS3. You’re ready to install homebrew applications.

io nn ho capito se per usare questa image recovery (che poi nn capisco cosa è ) devo installare una rom particolare o posso lasciare la froyo originale che ho....chi mi da delucidazioni?

Allora volevo provare anche io, però mi è stato sconsigliato. Comunque la risposta alla tua domanda è che non serve nemmeno la rom.
Servono solo i diritti che ottieni con il root. e poi fai tutto in modalità recovery con il clockwork.

Adesso c'è la r0.2... io l'ho messa ieri notte!!!
In pratica ti basta avere i permessi di root e con unrevoked mettere quella recovery...non servono rom specifiche...io ho Froyo Ufficiale!!!
Fuziona tutto alla perfezione sia Psfreedom che il cell!!!

Serve per riuscire a far leggere i file backup dei giochi.
Emnuell90 ma per l'online hai problemi? A me avevano detto che facendo così rischiavi di essere bannato dai giochi online.

In poche parole trasforma il desire in una psp? O c'è bisogno della psp?

@maxell007 non te lo so dire, però io l'ho provato in offline per non rischiare e poi non posso nemmeno connttere il PSN visto che ho il firmware 3.41!!!

@betalaga No questa è una recovery che permette al nostro Desire di essere utilizzato per poter fare la modifica alla Ps3...

Non ho capito bene una cosa.... Ma questa "modifica" installa dei file all'interno della Consolle così che questa possa leggere le copie di backup o permette di utilizzarle (premendo per esempio "BlueRay Emulation") finché il telefono è connesso alla PlayStation?

@cavaz No io semplicemente avvio la play con il cell attaccato e poi dopo posso anche ristaccarlo... La modifica rimane sino al riavvio!! o allo spegnimento ovviamente!
