fine maggio mi ha detto, glielo ho chiesto due volte per paura di aver capito male.... ho provato anche a dirgli che ho chiamato il 190 e mi ha detto che domani dovrebbe uscire e mi ha risposto che non sa niente.... inoltre mi a detto che oggi sono cambiati i cataloghi e il magic non c'è.....

I live in Italy, but I cannot write Italian very wel, so please excuse me for posting in English.

Like everyone else here, I have been eagerly anticipating a decent android phone in Italy ever since the platform was announced, years ago.

I want to join the speculations here-

I think that the 19th is a strange date, simply because it is a sunday. Here where I live, all of the vodafone shops are closed from Saturday afternoon until Monday morning, which makes a Sunday launch seem odd, unless it is strictly on-line. However, I noted a couple things:

• As it was already mentioned in this thread, user charmed85 on the vodafone lab forums indicated that the release date would be the 19th. This posting was made already on the 11th- so charmed85 must have had specific information.
• There are other events taking place at vodafone on the 19th. Look here and here.

On another note - it could be that the htc magic was *supposed* to be released on the 19th, along with the other changes mentioned in the links above, but is in fact delayed. This would explain why some operators still think that it will arrive tomorrow, while others say the date is not yet announced.

Rimango convinto che verrà commercializzato dopo il 5 Maggio, come scritto sul sito UK.
Penso che:
o 1. Domani si saprà il vincitore del concorso
o 2. Gli operatori Vodafone non sanno del rinvio (per cui il 19 Aprile era la data iniziale)

Hei magli, welcome here, i think u can read us in italian, until that confirmation i want to reply both in english and italian.

First of all, nice suggestions, but in my hoppinable opinion, i think tomorrow we will have the definitive answer.

I just called again vodafone and i asked about how old is the informations about the htc magic, he doesn't know perfectly the date but he told me "no older than 10-15days ago"..

When i asked: "Is it sure that tomorrow we will have more info about?"
He told me: "Yes, tomorrow the promotion will start so it will probably be available"

This is what i think: Tomorrow the htc magic will be available but not at the local store.. Only on the e-commerce website. 190.it

And monday we will find the HTC magic on the local store ..

This delay will create the right lag for the Offers/promotions to take place on the vodafone servers.
