Touchscreen problem

Hi ppl,since I dont know Italian,I will write in English

Today,my friend brought smartpad 810c to me and he said that touchscreen is not working and he is selling it very,very cheap,so i took it to check it out whats wrong with it since he is noob with these stuff(same as me but i know where to search for solutions) and it might be something on the software side but not hardware.So,searching on the web for this tablet,i saw that you guys here are the most compactibile to answer me.So,tablet has no any visible damages on it,it looks perfect,without any scratch on it,it turns on normally and everything but i cant use the touchscreen on it.When it turns on,I can unlock its screen with power on button and thats all.When display turns on it doesnt have any damaged pixels or anything,but simply doesnt work.So i wondered,has any of you experienced something similar,or does anyone know what it might be,or how to fix it.If it has broken touchscreen,do you know how much does it costs to repair,or if it is something simpler please answer me,i would be very very gratefull.I am sorry if there is some similar topic on this forum,and if i opened it again,but i just dont understand italian so it is very hard for me to navigate on the forum!
