Questo kernel cerca di utilizzare tutta la ram utile del nosto Gnex
Come sappiamo, il Gnex ha 1GB di RAM. Una grande parte di essa (300 + MB) è riservata per varie cose.
E 'davvero necessario? No, sembra che la RAM utilizzabile reale può essere molto molto di più.

As of v10, three (3) variations of Mpokang kernel for everyone to choose according to his needs.
Performance is the same, only the available RAM changes:

SuperRAM: 773 MB RAM -- Some rare video apps (or the gay CM video camera) may not work properly.
CM "gay" : 762 MB RAM -- All video apps work OK but still 720p, suitable for CM based roms.
1080p version: 751 MB RAM -- 1080p fully working, compatible with everything, even Android 4.2.2.

To sum up: For Android 4.3 all variations are applicable. For Android 4.2.2 ONLY the 1080p variation applies.

Note 1: This kernel is based on an old version of Golden kernel which by its turn is based on ASKP, which is based on fancy kernel. Note 2: Many redundant and practically useless stuff is removed. Badass sounding governors and schedulers, which don't actually offer anything were removed. Note 3: Interactive gov from kernel 3.4, hyper gov and SIOPlus, deadline and row are the best out there. Maybe FIOPs on the future. Note 4: In general .. more useless stuff removed equals more RAM.

Q: The cpu load is constantly over 50%, CPU speed doesn't drop to minimum, the phone doesn't sleep, I have problems with the CPU management part.
A: It is because you didn't have a clean rom when you flashed the kernel. Format system partition, flash rom, gapps and then the Mpokang kernel.

A: It's because of Purple Tint Fix. Many users experience that ugly tint, and this kernel cures it. Slightly change your color settings in Trickster. If, whatever you do, the colors look bad, report it here and I will see what I can do.

Q: Will there be a version of this kernel with 1080p video support?
A: Yes, later on. But do not expect 770+ MB available RAM.

Q: I want the full 1GB of RAM. Is this possible?
A: No, full 1GB is unachievable (with TI's ION code). But if someone is willing to drop all the media support (camera, video, media playback) close to 900MB is achievable.

Personalmente lo ritengo il miglior kernel mai provato sul mio gnex da quasi 2 anni a questa parte...batteria nella media e fluidità immensa.
Vi faccio il mio esempio: mi sono sempre dovuto limitare nel mettere app o widget, in quanto dopo un tot il cell iniziava a laggare, da quando monto questo kernel, mi sono permesso di avere 330 app installate, escludendo quelle di sistema, 11 widget suddivisi su 5 home, widgetlocker con altri 4 widget, tema bluemint graficamente stupendo ma di una pesantezza infinita, icone modificate, e la memoria interna libera pari a 1,5 Gb, e il tutto è di una fluidità incredibile. io consiglio vivamente di provarlo. ha dato nuova vita al mio Gnex a quasi 2 anni dall'acquisto

Io ce l'ho su crdroid... Io ogni volta faccio wipe, flash rom, reboot, rivedo in ricovero, wipe e flash kernel e reboot... Non so se faccio un passaggio in più, ma così non ho mai avuto problemi

Mi sembra di aver letto da qualche parte che questo kernel non sia sovrascribile con tutti gli altri kernel per una qualche questione concernente la ramdisk e se ne consigliava l'installazione sopra il kernel stock. Se é corretto ciò che ho appena riportato occorrerebbe specificarlo nel primo post magari con un link al kernel stock
