CAF/CM is nice and has some ROM parts that are different from AOSP in a good way. (Run Antutu Video with an AOSP ROM and run it with CM, for example)
It has newer and more advanced code for the kernel from what I can see. We already have some code from CAF in our AOSP kernel too, and parts from linux 3.5/3.6/3.7. CAF is more 3.5-ish compared to stock.
ULPS is the reason I wanted to try a CAF/CM ROM. In theory, the thing you should see as a normal user with ULPS is lower power consumption, so increased battery life. I really haven't seen a very big difference (or as much as I expected), but there are some things under the hood that improved battery life.
The pictures are with CM and my CM kernel.
Multimount is the 5.1 kernel that should support f2fs partitions, just like the old kernel.
