1.) First Read*Preparation Enable developer options,*Enable USB Debugging,*Enable OEM Unlock. Then go to*further step.

2.) Install Xiaomi USB Driver, Unlock bootloader of Redmi Note 5 Download Required files TWRP Flasher Toolkit.

3.) Unzip TWRP Flasher Toolkit "ifelixit+FLASHER+TOOLKIT+WhyRed-Vince2.zip".

4.) Run "ifelixit FLASHER TOOLKIT Whyred-Vince2.bat" from*ifelixit+FLASHER+TOOLKIT+WhyRed-Vince2 folder.

5.) Connect your phone to pc.

6.) Follow the instruction in Toolkit "Press any key to continue"* Now select 1 or 2 and press enter

Type "1" for Redmi Note 5 and "2" for Redmi Note 5 Pro.

7.) The tool will auto reboot your device into fastboot mode and flash twrp recovery.

8.) Once the flash complete, your device will reach the TWRP screen and be asking*for allow system modifications. By swiping right to Allow it, you will trigger dm-verity now flash LazyFlasher + SuperSu or Magisk to Boot the device.

How to Root Redmi Note 5 Pro and*Note 5:-
1.) First, unlock bootloader*and flash twrp recovery then go to the root step.

2.) Download "no-verity-opt-encrypt-6.0.zip" and*Latest SuperSU from Download section and copy it to internal storage.

3.) Turn your phone into recovery mode if already in then flash it, You can turn your redmi note 5 into twrp recovery by Volume UP + Power then select*recovery mode.

4.) Now go to Install option and flash*no-verity-opt-encrypt-6.0.zip then*Latest SuperSU or Magisk.

5.) Now Enjoy Twrp recovery + Rooted Redmi Note 5 pro, Now you can customize your device flash mod's Custom ROM's and more.

al ripristino di un backup (effettuato con la stessa twrp) non funziona il wi-fi.
non consente la installazione di alcuni programmini con "Aroma" in quanto il valore SDK della recovery è 25. Questo mi fa pensare che è stata scritta con vecchio codice (forse... non saprei).
Comunque non va.

Io ho seguito tutta la procedura. Il tool mi dice tutto ok...adesso il telefono si riavvierà in recovery...e invece nulla. Il telefono rimane in modalità fastboot e naturalmente twrp non è installata. Non capisco dove sbaglio. Il bootloader è sbloccato, debug usb abilitato e scelgo opzione 2 cioè redmi note 5 (pro). Non capisco....

Io non utilizzo mai i tools forniti. Preferisco farlo direttamente con adb manuale.
A me è partita ma, come ho scritto sopra, sono subito passata ad altro.

C'è qualcosa ma è da provare e verificare. Faccio con calma. Vorrei evitare qualsiasi tipo di brick.

qualcuno che ha messo twrp e root su note 5 (Whyred) potrebbe cortesemente dirmi se dopo aver messo twrp si deve obbligatoriamente installare una rom custom come accade per il 5 plus (vince)?

ho fatto cosi sul 5 plus in effetti (l'ho passato a mio padre), ma non sono riuscito a capire se con il note 5 è la stessa cosa o posso lasciare la rom originale.

quale guida mi consigliate di utilizzare per mettere la twrp?

Io sto provando sia in modo classico che con i tool, stesso risultato....la recovery rimane quella di casa...eppure da adb dice sempre che è andato a buon fine. Avete poi risolto?
