That is the simplest way to change kernel. If not you will have to unpack and do it via Odin or cmd in windows. You can wipe cache, dalvik in TWRP after installing kernel. When you install it open app called NO-frills CPU. Set Governor to PegasusQ, and I/O Schaduler to SIO. Thay manage how CPU reacts, and thay are best balance between battery and performance. I do not know about performance difference, but CoCore have more tweaks than ThunderZAP. And I use it since beggining almost."

Ricordo che flashando questo kernel non sarà possibile utilizzare il power menu per riavviare o entrare in modalità recovery direttamente da esso. Pena il continuo riavviarsi del terminale. Ma bisognerà utilizzare il solito metodo dei tasti vol+/menu/poweroff premuti contemporaneamente,
Per quanto riguarda il settaggio di No frill-Cpu, ho avuto problemi di riavviocol governor PegasusQ mentre settando quest'ultimo su Ondemand, non riscontrato problemi.

in pratica gli ho chiesto come istallare il kernel, se ci sono trucchi da applicare, se bisognava fare dei wipe e la differenza di prestazioni tra il cocore kernel e il thunderZap della jetmod.

flashare tramite TERP è il modo più semplice di istallare il kernel. Dopo aver istallato il cocore kernel fare wipe cache, delvik da TWRP. Una volta istallato, aprire l'app No frill-cpu e settare PegasusQ come governor e Sio come I/O scheduler. Questi settaggi sono il miglior bilanciamento tra batteria e prestazioni. Non sa se ci sono differeze di prestazione tra i due kernel ma il cocore ha piu' "Tweaks" piccole modifiche intese ad implementare il sistema. E che usa il cocore kernel sin dalla sua uscita.

E' uscita la 3.9beta3 e stabile? O e' solo un aggiornamento come gli altri? Attualmente o la 3.8rc
