Milestone users update apk or other tools through Recovery mode.
But some tools need users to use command line by adb shell.
Here is a custom update package for update providers to make
menu items. Update from Recovery mode can be more easier.
How it work:
This tool is a modification of Android's Recovery application.
When unrar the ball, it should have update.zip and CustomUpdate.
All menu files should be put in the CustomUpdate/menu directory.
Menu file uses ":" as the splitter, and there are three items in one line,
which is "description:function:file"
Example: init.menu (Default menu)
Reboot system:reboot:
Kahnmao Chinese update 3/26:shell:kahnmao.sh
sprecovery initial:init:sprecovery_init.sh
sprecovery backup:shell:nandroid-mobile.sh -b -q
sprecovery restore:menu:sprecovery_restore.menu
sprecovery delete:menu:sprecovery_delete.menu
Root phone:shell:root.sh
Clear system cache:clear_cache:
Clear user data:clear_data:
Remove custom update package and reboot:clear_custom:
Current usable "function":
reboot: Reboot milestone
init: When menu loads, the init script will be executed automatically, this item will not be shown in the menu list.
Through this function, it can generate other menu dynamically. The example are sprecovery restore and delete
menu.
shell: Execute item, the file in the CustomUpdate/bin.
menu: Next menu, the file in the CustomUpdate/menu.
clear_cache: Clear CACHE area, the same as Recovery.
clear_data: Clear user DATA area, the same as Recovery.
clear_custom: Delete update.zip and CustomUpdate directory.
