Any Italians from around Perugia?

Hello italian friend. I'm going to italy soon to visit my mother for 3 weeks and need some advise with buying an italian sim card. Which provider has the best coverage and pricing and what would be the best overall solution for me?
I don't talk much but texting a little bit and I need lots of data and maybe a 3g wifi router for my pocket:-).

It would depend on the operator people around you use.
I guess you could buy a 3 ("TRE") simcard and stick as long as you can with the mobile data to communicate, as 3 has the best pricing for mobile internet (3 gbs for 5 euros).
However, be sure to check 3's signal in your town first.

Thanks for the advise. So 3 is cheap but does not have the best overall coverage in it. ?

it hasn't, and if you do not deactivate it, you could spend much more money by going on roaming (be sure to set it off)

Keep away if you want to use mobile data. It's quite expensive and it's not that great to justify the high price.
It's worthy only if you know others that use this operator, as you can send unlimited sms to tim users for the fair price of 1 euro/weekly.

Thanks. Ok now i'm in italy and I bought internet from wind and it runs like butter:-) now i have also bought a prepaid wind12 simcard for my phone but i don't understand howto activate it( i dont read or speak italian) please help me...

if you are in Milan, just go to a Wind Center and they can activate it for you. or try to use it, maybe it is already activated

I'm in magione and there's no official wind dealer. Just electronic store. I don't think it's activated because I can't even send sms or make calls? There is a signal in the notification bar though???
