Buongiorno a tutt* e perdonatemi da subito se sarò poco preciso. Ho acquistato da pochi giorni un SOny Xperia Sole. Ho provato il telefono prima di aggiornare Android e funzionava tutto, connessione wifi al mio router compresa (IP statico settato e psw inserita)
Come consigliato dal negoziante ho fatto subito l'upgrade da Android 2.* a Andorid 4.* e purtroppo la connessione wifi è diventata inusabile. Ho provato in tutti i modi, dopo aver inserito psw e poi fatto tutti i settaggi di ip, dns e lunghezza prefisso rete, continuava a negoziare senza connettersi mai, adesso addirittura appena digito qualsiasi modifica (sia psw che tutto il resto) il pulsante connetti si disabilita e fine dei giochi. Ho provato il reset di fabbrica, ma non cambia nulla! Non capisco quasi nulla di smartphone, ma se mi date delle dritte posso provare a risolvere. Avevo pensato al downgrade, ma mi pare complicatissimo. Devo già mandarlo in asistenza o posso tentare qualcosa?
Scusatemi per la lunghezza, ma ho perso già due notti e mi prende un nervoso...

Su un forum inglese ho trovato un altra persona con un SOny, modello diverso, che ha quasi lo stesso problema, nella stessa forma, che ho io. Inizio a preoccuparmi!

It's ridiculous that Sony hasn't paid any attention to this problem yet. (no publical updates or working solutions) The first complaints about this were over a month ago posted on forums.
I will write down the characteristics of the problem, I've been experiencing.
When I try to connect to a WIFI-network, which has been encrypted with an WPA of WPA2 key, I can rarely get a stable connection. Usually it won't connect at all. My home network is displayed with a strong signal on the list, but once I start connecting, the signal drops to very weak.
It keeps verifying and trying to connect. And endless cycle. After some minutes I just abort it and try to do it all over again. Sometimes a reboot solves this problem, but once you've turned your wifi off and on again, you will have to reboot again.
In some rare occasions I get an authentication error or I get connected with a very strong signal, but DNS lookup fails anyway.
This is NOT related to my router. My phone worked perfectly with Gingerbread (Android 2.3.4) on any router. Now it doesn't work (Android 4.0.4) on ANY router. Although the phone has LESS problems on open networks, the problem with verifying occurs with almost every router I've tried (at home, work, friends, etc.)

Android 4.0.4 (installed with Sony Update Service)
(One of the) tested routers: Eminent EM4542 Wireless N
This shouldn't be related to the routers. I haven't changed any settings on my router since the update to Ice Cream Sandwich. I ask Sony's tech support to have a look at this problem, because I see I am not the only one. Perhaps is using an insecured network, downgrading to Gingerbread or trying another ROM (e.g. Cyanogen Mod) at the moment the best solution.

Siccome lo avevo appena comprato il servizio clienti della SOny mi ha consigliato di restituirlo. Così ho fatto e in sostituzione mi sono preso un Samsung!
Però mi dispiace, potenzialmente il Sony è molto meglio, ma poi non funziona!

Io ho acquistato e aggiornato lo stesso device, e non ho riscontrato problemi. C'era una certa lentezza nell'agganciare il segnale GPS, ma sembro aver risolto con gpshelper.
