[MODDING] Thl-w100

Buonasera a tutti , questo è il mio primo post in assoluto su un forum e volevo salutavi.
sto seguendo da alcuni giorni le discussioni sul thl w100 ma ,essendo completamente all'oscuro di sistema android sto cercando di addentrarmi nell'argomento.
la mia prima domanda è: posso fare l'aggiornamento alla ver. 130711 dalla 130701 senza avere privilegi di root e salvato i codici imei?

si, ti basta installare la cwm di barry che è ottima e da li installi la stefdio rom che è una cucinata della 130711 (con altri bugfix) e già rootata e con tutto lo stretto necessario. La guida per installare cwm la trovi nel thread PARERI del w100. Prova a cercare "guida siggei thl w100" è facile e molto dettagliata, se ci sono riuscito io che ero un niubbo totale non vedo perchè non ci possa riuscire tu.

I'm following this thread for some time now, but please: excuse me not beeing able to write in italian. As I've seen on the first page that sometime, informations are copy-paste in english from other forums, I wanna share a means of modifying IMEI numbers I've succesfully used few days ago after unbricking my THL W100. This could be usefull as you don't need any third party software (e.g. MTKdroidTools, etc.) and/or any connections to a computer for entering any boring ADB commands... ;-)

it's possible to (re)enter your IMEI numbers by simply using EngineerMode menu.
All the following is based on a russian video www . youtube . com/watch?v=xgshKAlhXCo

1) open EngineerMode by using the sequence *#15963#* on the W100 dialer,
2) on the upper line select menu 'Connectivity
3) open the option named 'CDS Information' and on the next screen choose 'Radio Information'
4) select 'Phone 1' and, on the next screen gently touch the middle of the upper line beginning by 'AT+' and type the letter 'E' on the keyboard
5) a list appear, so select the line marqued AT+EGMR=1,7,""
6) put the cursor in the middle of the both ", and enter your first IMEI number (15 digits)... it should looks like this AT+EGMR=1,7,"35382703abcdefg"
7) verify that your number is correct and push on the button marqued 'SEND AT COMMAND' and use the back button to return to the 'Phone Information' screen
8) select 'Phone 2' and again, gently touch the middle of the upper line beginning by 'AT+' and type the letter 'E' on the keyboard
9) this time, select the line marqued AT+EGMR=1,10,"" in the list
10) repeat operations detailled in steps 6) and 7) but this time, enter your second IMEI number
11) Use the back button, return to the Home screen and restart the device.
12) Verify that everything is in order by using the sequence *#06# on the dialer

If you're not a real geek, and you don't know too much about tech.tricks: DO NOT PLAY WITH OTHER 'ENGINEERING MODE' PARAMETERS... as you can seriously put your device in trouble.

Please, remember also that changing real IMEI numbers by fake ones, is strictly forbidden in most countries...

Allora, chiedo che il moderatore inserisca questo post all'inizio del thread perchè può essere molto utile a tutti gli utenti h3g.
Dunque, se quando inserite la sim h3g nel w100 vi arriva l'sms della 3 che vi dice di metterlo immediatamente in un telefono umts perchè il w100 non è riconosciuto fate così:
selezionate solo umts tra le reti, spegnete la seconda sim, selezionate tutto su sim nello slot 1 (voice call, sms ecc. ) e selezionate apn 3.
Spegnete il telefono, rimettete la sim h3g e accendetelo. Il telefono si registrerà per forza in umts e non avrete problemi. Dopo la corretta registrazione potrete mettere modalità automatica 3g/2g.

ragazzi io ho un thl W2 dual core come faccio a mettere una recovery modificata ? il link all'inizio dice che non c'è piu' il file

Conosci altri metodi per scaricarlo?

Si grazie l'avevo già vista ma non riesco ad installarla perchè spflashtools mi dà errore 8038.
Ho già chiesto aiuto in un altro thread ma nessuno mi fila....
Pazienza, visto che non è indispensabile, ne farò a meno
