Driver and tool to flash MTK phones
First Step: identify hardware
Before using drivers it’s necessary to discover the hardware of your phone
- Model Name
Usually it’s written on a silver label under the battery
- Hardware features
You can see hardware feature with a secret code (your phone must be on and working) or whit factory mode menu (phone broken or that doesn’t boot).

These codes maybe don’t work on all phones. It will be seen a menu whit many features.You can save it making a screenshot ([VOL-] + [POWER]),a photo whit another phone or writing it
To exit use home button
Basic info to take note
- LCD (Driver LCD)
- Camera ( camera driver for first and secondary camera)
- Touchpanel (driver touchpanel)
- Buiild number (version firmware)
- Memoty (amount of RAM and ROM)
- Board information - Chip code (chip CPU)
- Menu factory mode [Factory test]
- First of all phone must be off.
- Turn on phone whit [POWER] and [VOL-]
- When boot logo appears leave [POWER] but keep holding [VOL-]
- After a few seconds a yellow text will appear [Factory mode] and there will be a menu, in english or chinese.

Usually VERSION INFORMATION it’s the last but one of the menu
- Use keys [VOL+] e [VOL-] to move on [Version], then use home key (central key)
- There you will see hardware features; if you can’t see driver info try to swype up the bottom. Take notes of data, especially of "Cam_Info", "LCm" e "Touchpanel".
- To return on first menu use [Back] key
move with [VOL+] or [VOL-] on [Reboot] then use [HOME] and phone will reboot (of course if phone is in bootloop it will not boot)
These infos are very important when you make a post, cause they will help people to understand your model and give the right help:
- Model name (etichetta di solito di colore argento sotto la batteria).
- Memory (RAM e ROM)
- Mainboard - Chip code (chip CPU)
- Hardware LCD (LCM)
- Hardware camera
- Hardware touchpanel
- Build number (versione firmware)
Windows 7/Windows 8 - driver signature
On Windows Vista/Windows 7/Windows8/Windows 8.1 it’s necessary to install drivers disabling driver signature (because driver USB Preloader and USB ADB aren’t signed).

Windows 7 - Disabling driver signature via BCEDIT
On Windows you can disable/enable driver signature whit a command, BCDEDIT
- Disable driver signature
Open prompt MS-DOS (whit administrator right) and type
bcdedit /set nointegritychecks ON
Close prompt MSDOS and reboot PC. Now driver signature it’s disabled.
- Enable driver Signature
Open prompt MS-DOS (whit administrator right) and type
bcdedit /set nointegritychecks OFF
Close prompt MSDOS and reboot PC. Now driver signature it’s enabled
Driver USB ADB
Driver USB ADB are necessary to connect and recognize your phone from the PC, for esample to use some tool like MTKDroid

These driver doesn’t have installer:
Connect your phone to Pc, on Device Manager you’ll see a yellow exclamation point in correspondence of your phone.
Select your device, double click on it ->tab Driver -> Update driver -> Choose Manually select driver and then go to folder where you unzip drivers and select it
Universal ADB Installer
Universal ADB Instalelr - Info e downlaod (androidaxda)
Download and unzip, then launch .EXE file and follow instruction.
Driver USB preloader (for Flashtool)
Driver USB preloader are necessary to recognize your MTK phone from tool like SP Flash Tool or Multiport Download Tool.
