Io ci leggo due news
- nel weekend uscirà una 4.2.2 stabile
- la alpha 4.3 è già a buon punto

Hey guys,

sorry that I am not much around....but I am a lot ill last time + that I need all power for 4.3. Since one week now griff and me merged 4.3 into SlimBean. A lot user do not realize that this is IMO one of the most major updates google did since last 2 years. There are about 5 million changes they did in the last 8 months...mainly optimizing under the hood.....doing the code more logic etc etc. So really a hard task for 2 ppl to merge that in and do not break the rom lol. Beside some other teams behave other especially a famous one I can say that we merged everything in and have beside some small glitches everything working. Due that I have maguro you guys are the lucky one for the first alpha version now

So small heads up what is working and what not

- Working....as far as I can see all major phone functionallity. As well all features from Slim

Glitches:
- QS layout is a bit off
- rambar does not show up
- keyboard swipe crashes

A hint to SU:
- at the moment KOUSH is still working on it to have a full functional SU. In general it works quiet well with most of the apps. But you need to toggle it in developer options!!! (Root access....and set it to Apps and ADB or anything other then disable....even if it is set to App when you install)

A hint to 4.3 kernel
- this alpha version still has lean 6.6 version in...the reason is ADB. Currently on maguro all 4.3 kernel do not have adb for whatever reason. Which is for debugging a pain lol. As well most 4.3 kernel are not 100% stable. From that what I have tested fancy 4.3 kernel is really good already, only downside his kernel has currently is that it conflicts with media provider (you get FC when connecting to mtp). Other then that fancy is great. So if someone want to test a 4.3 kernel fetch fancys one.
- Do not install 4.3 stock kernel.....it has functional issues with theme manager

A hint to Contacts:
Contacts is now AOSP stock version with trds backed in.....due off major major changes it does not make sense to merge that into our old one. So you will miss there features (contacts and dialer)

- backup
- latest recovery
- full wipe
- install as usual

Using third party keyboards fixed
APN FC fixed
added back all phone features
migrated blacklist feature into new dialer

more or less we are now on the old state on phone and contacts. Only the detailed statistics not where we are not sure if we want to have it at all.

@gapps yes update will come as well for the playstore. A bit complicated currently to do all at the same time lol

For those who are interested,

I am waiting to charge to full before i flash the 4.3 alpha, but i have been running a few other 4.3 roms and the Franco kernel with modified ramdisk works well with 4.3 and has full adb but is not compiled from 4.3 sources. it is rather quick faster than it was on 4.2.2 at any rate.

Ill update later on with usage on slim 4.3 alpha 1


here is a copy of an inverted multidpi playstore latest version, that i have been using on other 4.3 roms, i did not create it and unfortunately cant remember where i found it.

Ragazzi ha qualche giorno che ho un problemone.. Praticamente avendo una connessione dati di 50mb al giorno mi sono accorto che dopo qualche secondo che sono collegato mi finiscono i mb.. Ho controllato il traffico dati ed ho visto che me li ha consumati tt il processo "servizi Google".. Col wifi ovviamente Nn mi accorgo di niente, ma così praticamente Nn posso utilizzare la rete dati.. Mettendolo con il limite dei dati in background il problema Nn si pone, ma ovviamente perdo delle sincronizzazioni con le tacche che rimangono grigie.. Qualche idea..? Ho provato a reinstallare le gapps ma niente..

Quello che mi ricordo è, potresti fare una prova, disabilitare la sync di "dettagli persone" e lasciare il telefono in wifi per un po' di tempo in modo che sincronizzi quello che deve.

Ma io le sincronizzazioni dell'account Google le ho sempre avute tt disattivate, e Nn ho mai avuto di questo problema.. E adesso che succede sta cosa sono sempre tt disattivate.. Cmq potresti mandarmi il link del thread di cui parli..?

Per adesso tengo limitato il traffico così Nn scarica però rimangono le tacche grigie Boh.. Ma potrebbe essere un problema di rom..? Cioè se provo a fare wipe e riflashare potrei risolvere..?

Prova con wipe cache - dalvik - system e reflash rom e gapps così da non perdere dati.
Cerca anche l'ultima versione, credo 4.2.3, del play store e sostituiscila a quella che c'è di default

Edit: a pagina 474 su xda due utenti hanno trovato stanotte la causa nella sincronizzazione di dettagli persone, che però tu mi hai già detto ieri essere disabilitata. Rimane da fare una prova col play store nuovo e lasciare il telefono qualche ora sotto wifi con le sync attive per vedere che non sia rimasto qualcosa in coda

Per questi consumo di dati da parte dei servizi google non Sei il primo a lamentarlo . . . in sezione nexus4 lo lamentano in quasi tutti i thread . . .
Si pensa che sia il sistema che cerca di fare l'update a 4.3 . .
