Hi all,
here's pre54_2. It is available from the OP.
I have tried to improve r53 even more in terms of smoothness and snappiness. While I think I succeeded, I'm eagerly awaiting your reports :)
There have been reports pre54_1 wasn't as fluid as r53, which is why I reverted those (yet unpublished) commits that caused that. pre54_2 should be veeery good!

*pre54_3 (two packages: fixed RAMdisk & anykernel2) -> Android 4.2/4.3/4.4
Hi again,
here's pre54_3. I consider it an RC for r54. It is available from the OP.
The increased heat-production that was observed by some should be fixed, hopefully.
While r53 failed in terms of Android 4.2 / 4.3 compatibility, this really should be working now with the anykernel2 version provided: I tested it with a the stock CM11 kernel and everything was working fine. Even though my test was with a 4.4 kernel, there's no reason why it should not be working with 4.2 and 4.3. Thanks to @osm0sis*for his anykernel2 framework and his help!
There are two different files:
fancy_kernel-tuna-4.4-pre54_3.zip
... and ...
fancy_kernel-tuna-4.2+-pre54_3-anykernel2.zip
If you're in doubt which file is the right one for you, let me give a brief explanation:
___________________________________________
1) You're running Android 4.4 with stock kernel (e.g. ROMs: stock 4.4, CM11 or AOSP):You can use both files: fancy_kernel-tuna-4.2+-XXXX-anykernel2.zip or fancy_kernel-tuna-4.4-XXXX.zip
2) You're running Android 4.4 with a custom kernel (e.g. kernels: dirtyv or franco or even fancy kernel):You should be using this file: fancy_kernel-tuna-4.4-XXXX.zipAlternatively, you could dirty-flash your ROM (which needs to have a stock kernel, or this won't apply to you) and then use fancy_kernel-tuna-4.2+-XXXX-anykernel2.zip.Background info why this is the way it is: You need to ensure the RAMdisk that is modified by anykernel2 is clean. Anykernel2 extracts the current kernel's RAMdisk and modifies it. If you're having a custom kernel installed, the base for modification is 'contaminated', there might be wrong settings or files included.*You should never flash an anykernel2 kernel over another custom kernel!
3) You're running Android 4.3 or 4.2 with with stock kernel:You should be using this file: fancy_kernel-tuna-4.2+-XXXX-anykernel2.zip
