Allora.. ho cercato al posto tuo
Dal thread q&a di franco in android development and hacking (siamo in leggero ot ma questo serve per mettere l'elementalx) :

Soluzione 1 - "Franco's kernel changes these system files below, so to change them back you can remove the .bak extension, or fastboot system.IMG and boot.IMG from a factory image ...... which is probably easier and faster." .. ossia devi flashare con fastboot system e boot della factory.

Sempre dal post soluzione 2 :
1 - Rename /system/lib/hw/power.msm8974.so.bak to /system/lib/hw/power.msm8974.so
2 - Rename /system/bin/thermal-engine-hh-bak to /system/bin/thermal-engine-hh
3 - Reboot to the boot loader and flash stock Kernel by downloading the Nexus images and then fastboot flash boot boot.img
4 - If you're using those Moto X dalvik patches you gotta reflash stock system.img, just use the images you just downloaded from 2) and do fastboot flash system system.img
5 - ???
6 - Profit.
Nexus images, google it and its the first hit.

Quello che ti consiglio : se non vuoi perdere i dati esegui la procedura che ti ha descritto prima mabit editando lo script flas-all con notepad+, farai da cavia visto che qui nessuno ancora l'ha fatta ma tranquillo .... alla piu' brutta usi in seguito il metodo manuale classico ( o il toolkit se vuoi)

Dopodichè metti l'elementalx, certo se tu avessi già un backup, fatto in precedenza prima di aver messo il franco, sarebbe stato meglio.

adesso che mi ricordo quando ho messo la trw ho fatto un back up..non so se è quello che intendi

Allora ok, ripristina quello e metti il kernel.
Se me lo dicevi prima... ^_^

Ho ancora il telefono tutto stock, voglio provare questo kernel in accoppiata con la Purity ROM. Devo prima flashare la Rom e poi il kernel, o tra i due passaggi devo fare altro? Da xda:

INSTALLATION
1. If you've been using another custom kernel, reflash your ROM without wiping data
2. Install zip from recovery
3. Follow the instructions, if you don't know what to do, use the preselected options
4. Reboot

Non mi è molto chiaro il primo punto. Il kernel già incluso nelle custom Rom è considerato stock o custom?

Io ho flashato ROM, gapps, e infine kernel. Non l'ho ancora provata bene xché ce l'ho come ROM secondaria. Nei prossimi giorni la testo.

Installi la purity con i dovuti wipe e poi il kernel senza nessun wipe.
Qualche accorgimento deve esserci se in seguito vuoi abbandonare l'elementalx, come da regolamento avresti dovuto leggere le varie pagine di questa discussione, è già stato scritto tutto al riguardo.
