Few hours ago i installed 26s.I was told that there were issues like not able to change the Gsm band to 3 or 2g and various google apps, problems...
I set up my phone and everything is fine so far, all network settings are ok , band selection working , and all google apps i use work and sync fine (gmail , calendar , contacts , playstore ,games).
Gps is excellent as always and all running smooth .I set the rom in english since no greek is available so far...

There is an issue with play services and eui 26 related to location. Try this: open settings, location and try the last two options (Google location history and sharing). If both of them work, then tell me what gapps are you using because with opengapps one of the two (I don't remember which one) makes the play services crash. This happened with all the play services I tried (if I don't open that option I don't have FC but I read about users not having FC for days and then they appeared out of the blue).
All the other things I tested are OK for now (network, print services ecc) but it seems I can't mod the launcher and the Dialer with this version (same thing that appened with gallery in 23s) so I'll make a magisk module to remove yellow pages from Dialer and leave the launcher stock.
I have a v0 ready, I'm waiting until I can upload that.


Riassunto in Ita : il problema tra play services e eui 26 c'è, anche se per ora non si è fatto molto sentire (solo un FC all'inizio è poi basta ,a meno che non si attivi l'opzione scritta sopra ).
Come era successo con la galleria e la 23s, stavolta non posso modificare launcher e Dialer, quindi preparerò un modulo magisk per togliere le pagine gialle dal Dialer. Le traduzioni invece me le lascia aggiungere... Mistero.
Una v0 è pronta, quando avrò una connessione per caricarla la manderò a qualcun altro per testarla.
Nel frattempo... Hanno cambiato il nome dell'app musica e non ho aggiornato lo script di traduzione...


Dimenticavo, ho aggiunto il supporto init.d direttamente nel kernel.
Se a qualcuno interessa, basta una veloce ricerca su Google per capire cos'è.

Gplay services version is 11.0.55(448-156917137) as shown in app details , preinstalled , i only downloaded gmail, maps and youtube.Didnt need to update the services as before.

OK, that's the same version (last one from opengapps). I'll try and see what's the difference tomorrow.

In that rom play services are quite old (version 10), but you didn't wipe data so you still have 11. About the option in "location" it seems it has no problem if i update without wiping data. And now gmail decided to crash. Don't expect an update soon.
If you want to have greek language you only have to flash framework (this way you can choose greek as language but system apps will still be in english), I can send it to you if you want.

Ita: nuovi problemi all'orizzonte, ci vorrà altro tempo, e i giorni che avevo deciso di dedicare sono conclusi, per cui non aspettatevi nulla prima del 20-25 almeno.

OK, then I suppose play services auto updated on their own to last version (if you check the version right after installation, it shows 10, unless I checked the wrong app). In the next two weeks I'll try to prepare an usable rom, but I won't have as much free time as the past few days. Anyway, I'll upload the framework tomorrow, so check back this thread tomorrow afternoon.

EDIT: Ok, back here after another test: I always got that FC in location because I was not logged in my google account. As soon as I logged in, it worked... I should never test at midnight.
For now I don't see any problem (besides the missing translations) but a wipe data is necessary coming from 23s. If in the next few days I won't have any problem, I'll upload it.

EDIT ITA: Ok, dopo qualche altro test: quel FC nelle impostazioni di localizzazione era dovuto al fatto che non avevo eseguito il login in nell'account google. Mai testare rom a mezzanotte.
Per ora non vedo altri problemi (eccetto alcune traduzioni mancanti) ma è necessario un wipe data provenendo dalla 23s. Se nei prossimi giorni non avrò altri problemi, la caricherò.

I forgot to add the link. This is the framework. Do a backup (system + data) before installing (I didn't test it alone), it also enables multicolor led.

La risposta più corretta sarebbe un "non ne ho idea".
Riprendo la narrazione :
Con un full wipe (internal storage compreso, perché una pulizia ogni tanto ci sta) dopo aver provato la 26 tradotta e modificata, ho aggiunto 4 account Google per verificare che i play services non andassero in FC, e non ho avuto problemi. Dopo qualche ora ho installato magisk per fare un dump del sistema (necessario per creare la rom) e I play services sono impazziti... Il dump l'ho fatto lo stesso, mi sono ripristinato le varie app da titanium (con circa un FC dei play services ogni 3-4 app). Finito di ripristinarle più nulla, nessun crash e tutti i servizi Google vanno da un paio d'ore senza darmi problemi. Non ho idea di cosa abbia sta 26.
