[MODDING] ZTE Nubia Z9 Mini

debugging is on, but get the same message.

When you download the recovery, and you unpack it you get a .img file, the .img file you dont need to extract the files right???

How to twrp my nubia z9 mini,

What have i done so far?

1. created a folder called TWRP
2. created a folder in TWRP called theme
3. Downloaded a theme from TWRP project and place it in the map theme (ui.zip)

4. downloaded the Recovery_TWRP and put it in a map called test on my pc
5. trough cmd did go to the map trough cd users\my name\desktop\test
6. i did turn off my phone, and set it in fastboot
7. with the command in cmd: fastboot -i 0x19d2 flash recovery Recovery_TWRP.img i pressed, and get this error:
''Fastboot'' is not reconized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

What am i doing wrong???

Hi, first of all you have to install drivers and fastboot/adb tools from the second post
After you have installed them, you have to connect your smartphone to PC and let the PC recognize the cell. After the drivers are been installed you have to reboot into fastboot mode (from Settings -> About phone -> System update -> Fastboot and then confirm the warning message).

When you are in fastboot mode, PC will install again another kind of driver (if not you haven't installed the driver I told before) you can type the command you have said in your post.

great did install now the adb tool , did not do this before.
Uhm now i am in fastboot mode with the phone connected to the pc but the pc dident install anykind of driver.
I think i have installed already drivers for the ZTE NUBIA Z9 before for other roms, so now again when i am in cmd and want to run fastboot -i 0x19d2 flash recovery Recovery_TWRP.img i get the same message as before.

Close every Command Prompt you have opened and then install again ADB/Fastboot tools... when installing tools you have to press Y to every question it asks...
After everything is installed, open a Command Prompt and type the command fastboot if it shows this is correctly installed:

i saw on abd1.4.2 that there were no files copied, so i used 1 older, and than there were 4 files copied.

You have simply to select the option "reboot to recovery mode" on fastboot menu.

@INNOR hai installato i driver del dispositivo? Lancia il comando e mentre sei in attesa del device, premi vol + (+) power per entrare in bootloader, poi collega il cavo usb al telefono

thanks, my phone did go to the twrp in my theme, but after rebooting again for twrp, it is in chinese (yirom.com things.).
do i must do this everytime with cmd or ????

my phones stucks at the red/white chinees letters, my phone doesen go further than that...
and recovery doesent work eather, the phone when you press vol- and power the phone restarts, but no recovery or fastboot...

questa mattina mi è arrivato il telefono, l'ho già rootato e installato il FW di Cuoco92 (Grazie mille per il lavoro), solo che ora mi dice che trova un aggiornamento disponibile? Inoltre se ci saranno aggiornamenti futuri dalla casa madre come si fà?

Tra l'altro, qualcuno ha sbloccato la banda LTE B20 800Mhz? Io ho Wind per cui niente LTE al momento :D

Potresti chiarirmi per favore cosa significa "Incollare il file ui.zip precedentemente tagliato"... Tagliato sta per? Ho messo il file rinominandolo ui.zip nelle cartella themes dentro della cartella TWRP ma la recovery resta in cinese. Grazie

Semplicemente fai un taglia/incolla, puoi anche fare il classico copia/incolla. Per la lingua, a me è rimasta inglese, non avrai sbagliato file?

Ciao, sicuramente non ci sono aggiornamenti nuovi per il nostro telefono... ho appena guardato sul sito Nubia... ovviamente se in futuro ci saranno aggiornamenti per la rom, dovrai installarli tramite le custom recovery... dal sistema operativo del cellulare sicuramente non lo potrai fare.

Try this, I have just tried. Please let the battery completely discharge, after you have done it press and hold Volume - then connect the power charger to the phone, it should load fastboot mode.

Keep in mind that, on red/white chinese letters, the phone stacks for about 5 minutes... then it should load "Android is upgrading"...
If you have any problem, try to load again official ROM.

Allora visto che ho riprovato più volte, elenco i passaggi da me fatti:
1. Nella memoria interna del cell. creata cartella TWRP
2. Dentro la cartella TWRP creato cartella themes
3. Scaricato il file 286X_v1_1080_blackplay_tiaoalvino.zip da http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...postcount=1636
4. Rinominato in ui.zip
5. Scaricata la recovery da https://mega.co.nz/#!BcEV2RjI!TLa5SS...C0x4yOvQthHb0w, scompattata e flasciata correttamente con fastboot

Quando riavvio in recovery appare la recovery in cinese... Dove sbaglio?

Inoltre quando tento di attivare il fastboot da telefono acceso, andando nel menù Settings poi Info telefono, quando clicco sulla voce in fondo System update non appare nulla...

Premetto che lo smartphone mi è arrivato oggi e oltre al root non ho fatto nient'altro... Help please!

Lasciato scaricare riavviato in recovery e riflashato la cuoco nulla sempre stesso problema.
Appurato che va in recovery cosa faresti per risolvere la situazione?

Sapresti dirmi qualcosa del fatto che non riesco a telefono acceso andando nel menu settings->info telefono e cliccando sul bottone Aggiornamento sistema non mi compare nulla quando ci clicco sopra.
Tra poco penso di installare la tua rom che a quanto ho letto va alla grande.

Credo che la soluzione più sicura per tutti è che vi allineiate con la stessa recovery e chi ha installato la rom con successo faccia un bel nandroid backup del cellulare resettato e lo condivida

Ti manca sicuramente una app che si chiama "SystemUpdate_v1.1.apk" che si trova sotto System/App

instead of the TWRP recovery with my own theme, i get a twrp from ?? | YiRom | ?? , how can i fix that i get the twrp with my own downloaded theme from XDA.... Because everything is in chinese ....

Io avevo lo stesso problema con la ROM non ufficiale, che il venditore aveva messo sul cellulare (che aveva alcune differenze tipo era "multilingua", aveva già il google playstore, etc) e faceva lo stesso scherzo... sono andato nella recovery originale... ho riflashato la rom ufficiale e quella sezione funziona di nuovo... cmq prova a seguire quello che ha scritto @Cuoco92 probabilmente risolvi in quella maniera... sennò o lo tieni così oppure devi riflashare la rom ufficiale.

Io ho testato i driver sia su Windows 7 che sulla 8.1... funzionano senza problemi... se non ti vanno su Windows 10 sinceramente non saprei cosa consigliarti, al momento ci sono solo quelli che si trovano nei post della guida all'inizio del thread

Risolto usando un altro PC con windows 7

Grazie della tua risposta. Ho provato a installare la ROM di @Cuoco92 e adesso il problema è che al riavvio è da più di mezz'ora che "gira" in "Android is upgrading... Optimizing app 1 of 5" da oltre mezz'ora il che mi sembra decisamente esagerato. Il problema è che non so come proseguire anche volendo riflasciare...

Try this, reboot phone in recovery mode and go into TWRP. Connect your phone to PC, then you have to press the icon I have selected in these images:

When you press the icon above the phone should be seen by PC as external storage (if not, press again the button).
After you can see the phone as external storage, go into internal storage create a folder called TWRP, go inside it and create another folder called theme... copy inside it the file ui.zip

After you have done these steps, go back to main menu and follow the following buttons to press

Great, but it works the first time when i do it, and when i want to test it for the second time it appears again the chines version :( it makes me crazy.

And apps like whatsapp when i want to send out a picture to somebody doesent mather who, whatsapp crashes :( , have unistalled it alot of times, but the same shit.
I think this is a fault in the rom????

I have just tested it on official ROM (I have checked to see profile pictures) and Whatsapp crashes.
I have checked some days ago some profile pictures and it hasn't crashed. I think it is a bug from Whatsup in the last release (Whatsup was updated yesterday)

Basta aprire la galleria da fuori WhatsApp e condividere da li la foto.

Sì quello era chiaro jbravo. Speriamo sia un problema dell'ultimo aggiornamento di whatsapp come dice S3pHiroTh83.

Io ho seguito le indicazioni all'inizio del post e dopo aver riavviato da recovery (originale) scelto il file .zip nella sd card esterna ho avviato e adesso da oltre un'ora sta in "Verifyin update package..." Ma è normale o si è bloccato?

Mi era successo anche a me... si è sicuramente bloccato... Hai usato una memoria SD veloce? Purtroppo a me si era bloccato quando ne avevo usata una lenta (o cmq il cell aveva altri problemi)

Solo @Cuoco92 può dirti cosa potrebbe essere...

Allora ricapitolando...

1) Se volete installare gli aggiornamenti ufficiali ota e i firmware che vengono pubblicati sul sito Nubia, dovete avere installato solo ed esclusivamente il FIRMWARE E LA RECOVERY STOCK.

2) Copiate sempre il firmware sulla memoria interna onde evitare problemi durante l'installazione.

3) Ricordate di fare i *Wipes prima e dopo l'installazione del firmware.

*Wipes: solo ed esclusivamente un FACTORY RESET
