Ho su questa ROM da tre/quattro giorni. Prima avevo la LS8 con modem TIM. Questa invece l'ho lasciata tutta stock, root a parte.

Che dire, i consumi sul mio terminale sono gli stessi della LS8 (se non peggio). Con un uso normale, tra wifi e connessione dati, a stento arrivo alle 8 di sera.

Proverò a unirla con un kernel più efficiente ma così, a naso, non sembra un granchè diversa. Comunque, sfruttando il fatto che non è wipe, potete provarla tranquillamente.

Monta il nuovo modem MS2. Inoltre su XDA dicono che sono stati apportati cambiamenti in background (la batteria pare ricaricarsi più velocemente) ed altri cambiamenti minimi e quasi impercettibili.

ok. volevo segnalare che io sono passato direttamente da una deodexed XWLSD a questa XWLSJ odex, senza avere il minimo problema (anche se la sto montando da circa 15 minuti....) devo dire che a fluidità è già un passo avanti rispetto alla vecchia, è solo suggestione da flash recente? :-)

Kernel
A string analysis on the code itself only shows that this CM correction was applied (MMC failure handling for the VTU00M chip). Didn't find any other relevant differences in the kernel image.
ExFat driver was also changed, apparently related with unmounting drivers. All other driver modules are the same (including WiFi).
sbin/cbd updated - probably related with the modem/radio

CSC (OXXLS8 vs OXXLS6)
Added Irish (Gaelic) and Icelandic language data
Small changes in the CSC configuration for sales codes DNF, NEE, ORS and XSK (examples: starting day of week, mms message size, predefined bookmarks editable, ring volumes, camera shutter sound, additional networks for NEE)
Removed sales code XEZ


It's definitely a move forwards versus XWLSD (and the other roms with the same changelist), but I don't know the reason for such a big change in the number, as the changes are minimal. Perhaps some SVN repository maintenance (?)
I wouldn't bother updating just for the sake of it, but do it if you will. No wipe should be needed as the small changes in data (Email IIRC) are handled during the next startup.
Personally, I'm not expecting any changes in the battery unless there are other changes hidden in the kernel, but I'm not using stock anyway. The battery reports in the settings menu might change, though, due to the power_profile.xml file.

Non sono ferratissimo in inglese, ma a senso mi pare di capire che è un pò sopravvalutata e che non porta chissà quali novità addirittura rispetto alla lsd. Ho capito bene?

Si hai capito bene. Io l'ho montata la LSN e non ha alcuna differenza tangibile (nemmeno la batteria). Inoltre (come bug) ho perso tutte le icone degli eventi del calendario samsung. Resta il fatto che comunque sono 940 Mb di ROM. Inoltre, come qualcuno ha fatto notare su XDA, il fatto che molti utenti non facciano un full wipe tende a mantenere determinati problemi.
