Il test del grillo (Proposta di Test Per Durata Batterie)

Ho aggiunto in prima pagina delle stime di durata in ore. Sono graditissimi i commenti sulla attendibilità della formula utilizzata, se riferita all'uso medio descritto nella nota della tabella.

Ho chiesto la valutazione della ROM di TechKang, quindi ho dovuto tradurre in inglese il test del Grillo, Se a qualcuno servisse, qui una copia. Tra l'altro, qualcuno ce l'ha installata? Sarebbe interessante avere i dati di quella ROM nel database, sempre per fare confronti...

How to run CricketBatteryTest on your ROM:

1) Ensure you've a standard battery (1300mAh) not damaged and not older than 2 years
2) Ensure you've a decent calibration (you do NOT observe % drops from 98-100% to 85% in a few minutes after turning on, and you do NOT observe sudden shutdowns when you have more than 10% left)
3) Set screen brightness to 50%
4) Deactivate screen turning off
5) Keep Wifi on and connected to a fully visible router
6) ensure your SIM is unlocked and your cell network is visible (at least 4 out of 5 marks)
7) turn Mobile Data connection (2g / 3G) OGG
8) Start any music player (I used jukefox) and play a long enough playlist that would sound for half an hour or so. CONNECT headphones and set volume to 50%
9) Avoid as much as possible to have any other application running (terminate all launched applications, but normal and startup services)


Then the real benchmark starts
a) Start Clock and set countdown for 20 minutes
b) wait that he % of battery changes from any value to its next value (e.g. from 75% to 74%), then IMMEDIATELY start the 20 minutes countdown and note down the initial battery level
c) When 20 minutes are finished, immediately start the chronometer on your clock application and stop it when teh battery charge percentage drops to the next level (e.g. from 65% to 64%), note down the time and the final level
d) report among the results the following info on system, info on the telephone: Version, Build number, Kernel version and your used governor and IO scheduler (you may check it via one of the programs available on the market)

Here below a sample of results reported:
- Test release: Cricket 2.0 (this is referred to the process described above)
- ROM : SpeedMod ALPHA 4.5.1
- Kernel : 2.6.38.6k@- cyanogenmod thewhisp@davis-desktop #1 Sat Jul 13 14:53:52 EEST 2013
- Governor: SmartassV2
- IO scheduler: noop
- Initial Battery Level: 35%
- Final Battery Level: 28%
- Total Time: 20 minutes plus 2minutes and 24seconds for the final drop= 22minutes 24seconds

- Calculated battery drop in 1 hour: 18.75%

Dura molto poco la batteria di questa rom da qaunto ho capito(con kernel 3.0), ma non ho la possibilità di fare il test su questa rom.

Lox, se immagino correttamente perchè sei cotto, meriti tutto il perdono che ti serve più IVA
Continua a cuocerti per noi. Io quando torno dal mio business trip monto la 10.2 col kernel 3.0.101 (a quel punto, sì: tutta mia!!) e faccio il test del grillo.. è un lavoro sporco, ma qualcuno dovà pur farlo! Per tutti quelli che dovessero essere incuriositi dalla "10.2 col kernel 3.0.101", si tratta semplicemente della ROM JB più sfiziosa, stabile e performante che esista al momento per lo SGAP, è un prodotto tutto italiano e la trovate qui!
