Hello everybody,

I'm dropping in to let you know that we are still investigating the problems some of you are having with the touchscreen. Getting to the root of a problem like this can be very difficult because there are a variety of things that could be the potential cause.

Some of you may have seen the touchscreen behaving strangely because of the way you are holding the phone. Please make sure you aren't touching the screen in two places when gripping the phone. If you are trying to register a touch and another part of your hand (or your sleeve even) is also touching the screen it won't work!

If this turns out to be a software issue, we will attempt a fix via an OTA update. For now, completely turn off your Nexus One and then power it up. This typically stops any strange touchscreen behavior.

Lastly, a small percentage of you probably have hardware issues. This is likely the case if entire areas of your screen have become permanently unresponsive. In this case, view the warranty details in our Help Center and contact HTC for support.

Quindi...mi sa che ci hanno venduto lo stock di cell fallati...visto che dice una piccola percentuale ha problemi HW(e praticamente tutti quelli che l'hanno preso dall'uni hanno sto problema)...sticazzi, brutte facce di merda

Dear ***,

We're sorry to hear about the problems you're having with your Nexus One's touch-screen, ***. I can understand why you're upset, and I would be more than happy to help you out, as much as I'm able to.

It sounds to me like the calibration on your phone's touch-screen is malfunctioning. This is not normal for any of our phones. Unfortunately, the device does not have a functioning recalibration app, nor is one available through the Android market.
Basically, since we are left with no options to reconfigure or recalibrate the screen issue, we'll want to completely eliminate the possibility of this being a fixable software issue, we will at least want to attempt a factory reset.

To do thisif this has already been done, please accept my apologies and disregard the following instructions).
Through the software:
-tap the Menu key (the button to the left of the Home key)
-scroll to Privacy and tap it
-tap Factory data reset
-tap reset phone

Through the phone's buttons:
-Power down the phone, completely.
-Hold down VOLUME DOWN and briefly press the POWER button
-Release VOLUME DOWN when you see a mostly white screen with a few options.
-Navigate these options with your volume keys.
-Highlight "Clear Storage" and press the power button.

Test the phone out, and if the issue still persists, please contact our Nexus One warranty and repair department at 1-888-716-3593 (and select option 3), anywhere between 8:00AM to 1:00AM EST, 7 days a week, to arrange to have this phone either repaired or replaced.

1. Perform Factory reset per instructions
2. Clear storage per instructions.
3. Turn phone on, unlock SIM if necessary, establish mobile data connection. DO NOT OPEN THE MARKET APP!
4. Allow phone to log into main account and sync. Settings will continue to be downloaded and applied, including your wi-fi settings! That's right, you won't have to re-configure your wireless connection because it backed up that data, too! (If you want to make your life so much easier, make sure you connect your phone to a wireless router/w internet before performing the factory reset and clear storage, that way the wi-fi connection is backed up to your account.)
5. Connect your phone to wi-fi. Verify with browser you have internet.
6. Open Market and find "My apps". SURPRISE! There should be a giant list of all the apps you had on your old phone! That's right, Google backs that up too! Now, with the wi-fi connection, all 189 of your apps can download and install without any intervention from you. Go find something to do, this will take a while.
7. When all is calm, tweak for another 2 hours. Then realize you tweaked your phone for two hours straight without the screen going crazy.
8. Come back here and tell me this worked.

Sostanzialmente fare un hard reset e poi entrare in fastboot e fare clear storage....tentar non nuoce...proverò a farlo e vediamo se migliora...

Forse ho "finalmente" trovato il baco a cui mi riferivo io!

Come sicuramente saprete, HTC ha deciso di interrompere la collaborazione con Samsung per la fornitura dei display AMOLED, presenti sia sul Nexus One di Google, sia sull’ HTC Desire. Il motivo è dovuto ai ritardi con cui il produttore coreano (Samsung) consegnava i componenti, i quali facevano slittare le consegne dei terminali Android.

I nuovi Nexus One (così come i Desire), monteranno i nuovi display sLCD, prodotti da Sony, una tecnologia diversa che non garantisce gli stessi livelli di brillantezza degli AMOLED, ma offre risultati migliori in condizioni di luce intensa (luce del sole).

Nel video viene messo in evidenza un piccolo problema al multitouch del Nexus One con sLCD, una volta che quest’ultimo di riscalda molto. Come possiamo vedere dal video in basso, sembrerebbe che in alcuni punti il display rilevi più di un touch, guardate il video e giudicate voi

Anche io sono possessore di un N1 preso da unieuro.
Innanzitutto parto col dire che sono con 2.2.1 stock e launcher pro.
Per ora ho solo il problema del touch che impazzisce, ogni tanto lo fa, e' seccante si ma non ho avuto episodi di freezer vari.
Credo, riferendomi ad un post precedente, che i cellulari bacati siano piu' di una piccola percentuale. Mi sembra che il fenomeno sia piuttosto diffuso, anche se sembra che alcuni cell ne soffrano piu' di altri.
Anche gli esemplari con schermo amoled ne sono affetti ...

io con ginger non riscontro gravi problemi nell' ordine

una volta si è riavviato
un paio di volte si è bloccato il touch, per 2 secondi, poi è ripartito normalemte.

Il mio N1 preso da unieruo non perde un colpo.
Ma forse non faccio testo visto che la ROM ufficiale e' durata pochi minuti.
Ora ho la MIUI (ancora con froyo) e non mi posso lamentare di nulla.

cioé con una rom cooked non risente dei problemi al touch???

ragazzi per tutti quelli che hanno problemi al touch, scaricate il programma Multitouch Visualizer 2 e fate delle prove... può darsi che il vostro "problema" sia legato semplicemente all'inversione degli assi o all'allineamento, quindi se premete due dita contemporaneamente nel touch, gli assi si diseallineano, ma prendendo con un solo dito per volta (per esempio quando si scrivono sms) il problema non succede... fate test con quel programma, provate a fare come nel video e vedete se riscontrate lo stesso problema...
