Per il nuovo Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 sono già disponibili tutte le procedure per sbloccare il bootloader, ottenere i permessi di root e per effettuare qualsiasi altra operazione di modifica, a come spesso succede, per facilitare il compito agli utenti è stato realizzato un nuovo Toolkit. Tramite il forum di XDA-Developers è disponibile ufficialmente il nuovo software che consentirebbe a tutti gli utenti di ottenere queste modifiche in semplici passi sui modelli Wi-Fi e Wi-Fi+3G, ovvero GT-N5110 e GT-N5100.
Grazie agli sviluppatori del forum di XDA-Developers è disponibile il nuovo Toolkit per Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0, il quale offre tantissime operazioni:
- Install drivers automatically
- Backup/Restore a single package or all apps, user data and Internal Storage
- Backup your /data/media (virtual SD Card) to your PC for a Full Safe backup of data
- Perform a FULL NANDROID Backup of your system via adb and save in Custom Recovery format on your PC
- Pull /data and /system folders, compress to a .tar file and save to your PC
- Auto Update ToolKit to latest push version on startup (professional feature)
- Dump selected Phone Partitions, compress to a .zip file with md5 and save to your PC

- Dump selected LogCat buffers to your PC
- Dump Bug Report to your PC (if installed)
- Help, Information Screen for various tasks
- Mods Section to Modify your phone
- Reboot Phone options in adb mode
- Change background, text colour in ToolKit
- Activate Professional version from the Model Selection screen (much easier)
Il software è perfettamente compatibile con Windows e con le due differenti versioni del nuovo tablet Samsung con S-Pen.
