Nelle ultime ore l’ottima applicazione del celebre browser Firefox per Android ha ricevuto un nuovo aggiornamento che porta tante piccole novità. La nuova versione 16 tra le tante novità, oltre i bug-fix, porta la Reader Mode che permetterà una lettura facilitata di contenuti che abbiamo già potuto testare sui browser default del Galaxy S III e del One X di HTC. Firefox per Android nella nuova versione 16 porta le seguenti novità:
- Reader Mode implemented for easy readability – just tap the book icon next to the URL
- Use the “Share” menu item to send tabs to desktop/mobile devices through the “Firefox Sync” option
- tel: URLs crafted to maliciously wipe your phone can no longer be opened
- Improvements around JavaScript responsiveness through incremental garbage collection
- CSS3 Animations, Transitions, Transforms and Gradients unprefixed in Firefox 16
- Kyocera Echo temporarily de-supported due to stability issues (784757)
- No longer supporting MD5 as a hash algorithm in digital signatures (650355)
- Opus support by default (772341)
- Support for text selection in static web content (695173)

Sicuramente la nuova modalità Reader è la novità di quest’ultimo update, tra le altre riportate nel changelog possiamo segnalare la possibilità si sincronizzare le tab tra desktop e mobile.
