The tablet only powers up/boots up when the USB is attached. If I plug the power cable in instead, it gets stuck in the boot up loop (Arnova logo comes on, stays on a few seconds then goes off. Then it does this repeatedly. I'm not sure whether it's something I did before rooting it using the ArcTools app??

ma mi prccoupa quel not working..siamo sicuri che esista per il 9 ?

credo che la cosa migliore sia indicare bene bene la lista delle operazioni che hai fatto e mandarla a Morka ...

ora devo scappare.. comunque ho seguito ciò che c'era scritto... mi sà che per il 9g2 nessuno l'aveva provata

Ho controllato su arctablet: il link "img" è il 1.15.2, che evidentemente corregge il 1.15 (not working). Per cui sembra che hai flashato la versione corretta, cioè quella che corregge un errore precedente ... secondo me il brik è dovuto a qualcosa andato storto nella procedura di flash ... non è che non avevi la power collegata ? La procedura di flash mangia parecchia energia, può essere che il device è "svenuto" prima di aver terminato ...

Se vuoi restorare il firmware del 9G2 usando il Rockchip flashing tool (che funziona anche su dispositivi brikkati), credo che puoi usare questo qua:

dovrebbe reinstallarti il firware già inclusivo di Google Play. Facci sapere ...

How to update the software of your Arnova

1. Download the update file for your device « update.img ». You can save it to the desktop of your computer for example.

2. Connect the USB cable to your Arnova and your computer so that the ARNOVA is seen as an external hard drive (as normal).

3. Copy the « update.img » to the root of the device. Do not place it into any folder of the Arnova, just to the root level of the device.

4. Unplug your device safely as usual using the green « disconnect safely » arrow in the system tray.

5. The Arnova will find the update automatically and display a message box offering to install this new firmware. Before tapping on "Install", you need to connect the charger/adapter DC-IN to your device. The Arnova will find the update automatically and display a message box offering to install this new firmware. Before tapping on "Install", make sure you connect the charger/adapter to the DC-IN of your device.

Important warning: Upgrading your device's software will reset all your settings (including the WiFi settings).

6. Once the firmware update process is completed, your Arnova tablet will automatically restart. You must then go though the installation wizard. Not only will this process allow you to configure the basic settings of your player.

no spock, ho seguito la procedura col rockchip, e in effetti la corrente non era attaccata...
però ho provato a rifarlo ma senza successo.
ora provo con la 15.2, devo controllare bene quale fw ho flashato.

niente da fare...
ho provato anche a rimettere l'originale sempre col tool, si è riavviato un paio di volte ma niente da fare!!
si accende e rimane come in stanby..oltretutto non riesco più a fargli leggere i driver sul pc

Cioè, se ho capito bene, questa è la sequenza degli eventi:

- hai flashato la Morka 15.2 con RK tool
- la procedura di flash non è andata a buon fine (forse a causa fine batteria prima del tempo ?)
- il 9 non da segni di vita
- hai messo in recovery mode ?? Dubito, se il 9 era "morto", non poteva andare in recovery
- con RK tool hai provato a rimettere la ROM originale (anzi, quella già aggiornata con Google Play), anche se essendo il 9 probabilmente non in recovery mode, non so cosa possa avere fatto
- il 9 adesso va in stand by e non si muove da lì (immagino che gli fai fare power-up collegato al PC, giusto ? Se no, riprova)
- una volta che va in stand-by, riesci a metterlo in recovery mode (ESC + buchino) ??

cerca di ricordare bene cosa hai fatto e lo stato del sistema quando lo hai fatto (recovery, normale, ecc.) ...
