Madfinger Games annuncia Shadowgun per Tegra 2 e Kal-El

Madfinger Games, la software house creatrice di Samurai Vengeance II, ha annunciato di essere al lavoro su un nuovo e ambizioso progetto che vedrà la realizzazione, tramite il tool di sviluppo Unity, di uno dei primi titoli appositamente pensati per la futura piattaforma quad-core di Nvidia: Shadowgun.

Il gioco, già definito come “il più avanzato del mercato”, sarà ambientato nel 2350 tra cacciatori di taglie, cyborg, mutanti e ogni tipo di umanoide da combattere con diverse armi futuristiche.

Sviluppato grazie alla piattaforma di sviluppo Unity, SHADOWGUN unisce il combattimento tattico assieme all’azione in terza persona portando il gaming portatile ad un nuovo standard grafico. SHADOWGUN vi metterà nei panni di John Slade un cacciatore di taglie professionista nell’anno 2350. La sua missione è dare la caccia al Dr. Edgar Simon, celebre genetista ed ex dipendente della società trans-galattica Toltech Enterprises. Dovrete quindi condurre John Slade nella fortezza del Dr. Simon e combattere il suo esercito personale di mutanti, cyborg e umanoidi geneticamente modificati, utilizzando armi, mezzi e la propria assistente androide SARA. La storia è stata scritta dal pluripremiato autore Micah Nathan che si è unito al team MadFinger come consulente creativo esecutivo per Shadowgun.

Shadowgun sarà ovviamente disponibile anche per smartphone e tablet basati su Tegra 2, ma al momento non è stata comunicata alcuna data di rilascio (confidiamo comunque che sia entro l’anno in corso). Vi terremo aggiornati, nel frattempo vi lasciamo al comunicato stampa e a qualche immagine!


Unity-powered Action Title to Storm Tablets and Smartphones in 2011

Brno, Czech Republic –  25th May, 2011 – Madfinger Games, creators of Samurai II: Vengeance, today announced the beginning of a new property SHADOWGUN, with an emphasis on next-gen graphics and immersive gameplay.

With SHADOWGUN, Madfinger is expanding the entertainment potential of smartphone, iOS devices and tablets. SHADOWGUN will support Android mobile devices powered by the NVIDIA Tegra super chip, and will be available on the Tegra Zone app and Android Market.

Authored with the Unity development platform, SHADOWGUN combines tactical combat with third person harrowing action, ushering in a new visual standard for handheld gaming. SHADOWGUNputs players into the role of John Slade, a professional bounty hunter in the year 2350. Slade’s mission: hunt down Dr. Edgar Simon, renowned geneticist and former employee of the trans-galactic corporation Toltech Enterprises. Players must lead “shadowgun” John Slade as he infiltrates Dr. Simon’s mountain fortress and fights his personal army of mutants, cyborgs, and genetically-enhanced humanoids. Using state-of-the-art weaponry, ships, and the assistance of S.A.R.A.—Slade’s personal android assistant. The story is written by award winning author Micah Nathan who has joined the MadFinger team as executive creative consultant for SHADOWGUN.
