Il Redmi 8A dovrebbe avere un display TFT HD+ da 6.217 pollici (720×1520 pixels), processore octa-core, 2/3/4 GB di RAM, fino a 64 GB di memoria, supporto per microSD card, fotocamera posteriore ed anteriore rispettivamente da 12 megapixel e da 8 MP e una batteria di ben 5000 mAh.

Il costo ipotizzato per la versione 2 GB di RAM e 16 GB di memoria è di INR 6499 (circa 83 euro), per la configurazione da 3 GB di RAM e+ 32 GB di memoria è di INR 6999 (circa 90 euro) e per l’ultimo, da 4 GB di RAM e 64 GB di memoria, è di INRI 8999 (circa 115 euro).
