Secondo me queasta notizia pubblicata sui vari siti blog di informatica è una delle tante notizie che sembrano fatte girare ad arte per creare paura e disinfromazione più che fare informazione. Non ci sono dati oggettivi, certi e dettagliati.

Il consiglio secondo me è quello di non contribuire a questa catena di sant'Antonio senza certezze.
Fino a che non ci sono dati certi il consiglio è sempre quello di installare un buon antivirus e fare attenzione a cosa si installa e da dove.
E non alsciare abilitato"Origini sconosciute" nel telefono.
Queste sono semplici regole semrpe valide.

Il virus di cui parla @REDHOOK7 potrebbe essere il Mazar, che dopo aver fatto i suoi comodi, distrugge tutti i file sul telefono rendendolo inutilizzabile

Non si tratta di allarmismo (che senso avrebbe? Forse che facendo allarme la gente smette di utilizzare il telefono o android?), si tratta della "normalità"
Le falle del sistema operativo (non parlo di quelli che installano applicazioni sconosciute da posti sconosciuti, parlo proprio di sistema operativo) sono molte, documentate periodicamente da google Inc. con il relativo impatto e le patch o possibili soluzioni di contenimento se non ci fossero patch a disposizione

Siccome la gente pensava che questi bollettini riguardassero solo il nexus, google da marzo di quest'anno fornisce un altro bollettino di sicurezza rivolto a "tutti gli altri android", qua

Gli exploit (cioè i programmi che sfruttano le vulnerabilità per entrare nei telefoni) esistono, si comprano per poche frazioni di bitcoin sul deep web, ed è vero che spesso richiedono l'intervento dell'utente per installarsi, ma non solo tramite app sconosciute, ma anche da app che stanno sul market (google insieme a baidu ha dei sistemi per controllare le app che vengono uploadate sul market, per esempio provarle su sandbox, ma spesso gli hackeroni sanno come riconoscere le sandbox e fare in modo che l'app si "comporti bene" nella sandbox e male una volta installatasi sul telefono... Per non parlare delle app di pochi bytes che per funzionare richiedono un download di componenti aggiuntivi che non sono sul market e quindi in nessun modo controllate!)...
Ci sono virus che si prendono attraverso il flash player navigando su siti web "normali", non solo zozzi (famoso fu quello che si prendeva navigando sul sito ufficiale di Panariello)..
Eppoi come dicevo, robe che sfruttano le falle del sistema operativo e che a volte non richiedono neanche l'intervento inconsapevole dell'utente

Il problema è che google può patchare il sistema operativo per i nexus, ma tutti gli altri telefoni devono essere patchati dalle proprie case madri, che nel caso dei telefoni cinesi, e di Jiayu in particolare, non esistono... Senza entrare nel merito di tutte le ROM moddate da chissà chi e chissà che c'è dentro... (Il virus Mazar per esempio non si installa su telefonini con ROM e lingua di sistema in russo.... Chissà perché :]).. Ma qua si va sul filosofico... Di qualcuno ci dovremmo pur fidare e il telefono fa comodo a tutti e nessuno di noi può farne a meno

Quindi ciascuno di noi che abbia un telefono collegato è potenzialmente a rischio di tutto, il business del furto di dati e credenziali è estremamente fruttuoso e remunerativo tanto che è utilizzato da organizzazioni mafiose russe, cinesi, organizzazioni terroristiche...

E spesso a nostra insaputa: lo scopo del virus è trafugare dati, di qualsiasi tipo (indirizzi e-mail per campagne di spam, credenziali di facebook e twitter per click fraud o furto di identità, cookies per profilazione in modo da mandarti spam mirato che è più remunerativo, ovviamente accesso a conti correnti e numeri di carte di credito)...
Con questo scopo il virus deve passare inosservato e non creare fastidi sul telefono, in modo da rimanere in attività il più possibile...


Non ho ancora ben chiaro il core business di un virus distruttivo che cancella tutti i dati del telefono e lo rende quasi da buttare... Forse è un virus che poi ti obbliga a mandarlo in riparazione da @REDHOOK7, che diventa quindi il primo sospettato!

Scherzi a parte, quello che posso dire io è: buon senso si, allarmismo no, ma neanche prendersela troppo alla leggera... Sicuramente un po' di rassegnazione... Non è detto che se il tuo telefono funziona bene tu ne sia l'unico utilizzatore

Per concludere io trovo utile il PENETRATION test (e qua si va sullo zozzo)...
Sono applicazioni del tipo vulnerability scanner, cioè applicazioni che lanciano un certo numero di exploit noti e fanno un report su come sono eventualmente riuscite a bucarti il telefono. Spesso hanno anche dei consigli per chiudere il tipo di falla riscontrata.
L'unica debolezza di queste applicazioni è che non hanno tutti gli exploit realmente disponibili, quindi il risultato è parziale... Cioè se ti dicono che sei vulnerabile è senza dubbio vero, ma se ti dicono che non lo sei... Beh, non è detto!

Per le dscussioni sui virus esistono specfici thread. Non è questo il thread per discutere di vrius.
Io non ho mai detto che bisogna prendere la questione virus alla legera.
Ho detto che le buone abitudini che si usano per i virus sui telefonini, debbono essere le stesse da semrpe, indipendetemente da certe notizie virali sui pericoli dei virus (molto spesso diramate da aziende che "casualmente" vendono antivirus - mai una volta che la notizia arrivi da societa non legate alla produzione di antivirus).
A mio parere I nostri telefonini Jiayu s3 sono meno esposti (non vuol dire sicuri...) a livello di patch di sicurezza di molti telefoni di marchi noti e con costi notevolmente superiori al nostro, che hanno versioni di Android particolarmente obsolete o non patchate. Quindi Jiayu sotto questo punto di vista è migliore di molti marchi noti. Questo non vuol dire che non si possa fare meglio.
I virus per Android c'erano prima della data odierna e ci saranno in futuro.
Quello che deve fare l'utente secondo me, da sempre, indipendemenete dalle notizie sui blog su virus (che ci sono sempte stati), è quello di usare un buon antivirus, disabilitare "Origine sconosciute" e fare attenzione a quello che si installa in modo manuale o cerca di installarsi in modo automatico.

Mia moglie con un Galaxy S6 che costa tre volte l'S3 si stava prendendo un virus (causa falle di sicurezza...) attraverso una pagina web se non avesse avuto CM Applock.

freedgt ma mi sembra di capire che e' per l's3 + ???

not suitable for young Edition mi pare che sia al contrario s3 + alta standart(s3 normale e versione alta e il 3gb) fino adesso e stato sempre cosi almenoche non do numeri............e la vecchiaia avanza cmq materiale da smanettare di sicuro
