Ecco a voi il primo Sms Extractor per Android.
L’applicativo Txtract è uscito venerdì 5 dicembre nel Google Market e bisogna dire che si è fatto attendere, in quanto l’applicazione per la messaggistica integrata, tende a non sopportare thread oltre i 500 messaggi e quindi a rallentarsi notevolmente, tanto da far apparire il messaggio di “Force Close” or “Wait” del Sistema Operativo.
Per chi come me, ha sempre salvato gli sms prima di eliminarli, questo programma è una manna dal cielo.
Il funzionamento è molto semplice: si avvia il programma, si sceglie il formato in cui esportare gli sms ( XML, CSV e HTML) , si preme “Extract”.
Il file contenente gli sms estratti verrà poi salvato nella mini-sd card, precisamente nella posizione /download/txtract . Sarà poi sufficiente collegare la mini-sd al pc tramite card reader, o collegare direttamente android al computer, per ottenere il file.

Il Programma ha però la pecca di non poter scegliere quale thread esportare, in quanto esporta tutta la memoria relativa agli sms.

Commento: L’applicativo fa il suo dovere, unica pecca per i csv è il fatto che l’esportazione viene effettuata con delimitatori a virgola, e se negli sms ci sono virgole potete bene immaginare cosa accade.

Version 1.3 of Txtract automatically creates the directory /download/txtract , users don’t have to do anything. This was a bad bad bug in 1.2, where the directory was not getting created automatically, causing the export not run. Now it’s fixed.
