Hi,

Unfortunately Viber does not contain this option yet. However, you could try external applications that allow you to control which apps and services start automatically when your phone starts.

ciao io ho un problema simile al tuo, abbiamo lo stesso device con la stessa versione, riesco a telefonare ed a ricevere , però intorno ai minuti (1'50'' --> 2'30'') io continuo a sentire ma dall'altra parte non mi sentono più, e bisogna riavviare la conversazione. Sia in 3G che in WIFI, verso android e verso iphone.
Tu sei riuscito a risolvere?

Interruzione imprevista dell'applicazione Viber. (processo com.viber.voip). Riprova

Ho spento e riacceso il cellulare e Viber era sparito... ho chiesto ad un'amica di inviarmi un messaggio e me l'ha mandato e dice che risulta inviato ma a me non è arrivato. Sono andata sul market , ho installato di nuovo viber ma all'avvio mi da lo stesso problema. Utilizzo link2SD e avevo il collegamento sulla scheda SD. Nelle azioni mi porta converti app di sistema. Non so però se devo farlo o no. Se vado su link2SD mi dice che è installato sulla SD.
Ho fatto un bakup di quello che ho sulla SD ma ho paura di disinstallarlo e reinstallarlo. Ho dati importanti li sopra e non vorrei perdere i messaggi.
Qualcuno di voi sa dirmi qualcosa. Per favore è molto molto urgente.

L'ho installato di nuovo e diciamo che mi funziona ma mi ha recuperato solo alcuni dei messaggi ricevuti... come recupero gli altri?

Unfortunately when you uninstall Viber, all messages are deleted. There is no way to recover them, since we don't keep our users' message history on our severs :(

Viber uses about 0.25MB per minute of call.

It is strange that you saw some messages after you uninstalled, since all of them (100%) should be removed after you delete Viber. Maybe some of the messages were "pending" in our server (sent to you from other users) and waiting to be sent to you.
However, as I mentioned, our server does not keep a copy of our users' messages, so unfortunately there is nothing we can do to help :(

In the future, please note that Viber now provides the option to export your message history, inside the "More" tab. In the future, we plan to add the "import" option as well.

I thought that after all this time the problem had been solved ... also because the crash was not caused by me and improvvso ...

Please make sure that Viber is the cause for the battery drain by isolating Viber (having no other apps running) on a device with stock ROM (custom ROMs may cause this problem). Also, please note that your device is not officially compatible with Viber, and that could be a reason for the problem you describe. We conduct strict testings in our labs with several devices and other than when making a call (when it is natural for the battery to be used), we did not come across any significant battery drain when Viber was simply running in the background. Furthermore, over the course of over 15 hours, on average the battery use was only 2%.

i still have problems with My Galaxy Nexus JB version and Viber..also with new software version.

slowness in opening contacts (not only inside viber but also in the stock launcher) and slowness with the software at all (with crashes also)

Per favore, puoi controllare se hai un consumo anomalo di "Applicazioni di base Android"? Oppure ti indica un consumo alto proprio dell'applicazione Viber? E poi per caso hai notato un rallentamento del dialer e della consultazione dei contatti? A me "Applicazioni di Base Android" arrivava anche al 20% del consumo totale a fine giornata. Ieri ho disinstallato Viber e tutto è tornato normale. :(

Please, can you control if you have a strange battery use from "Core Android Apps"? Or you have an high usage of Viber App? Also, you noted a slow operation of apps dialer and contact? For me "Core Android Apps" get to 20% of consuption at the end of day (12/14 hours).
I've removed Viber and all the issue that I descibed have disappeared!

I removed Viber and yesterday and today the battery consuption of "Android Core Apps" is 0%.
Another member in the forum https://www.androidiani.com/forum/go...-batteria.html have same problem.
Now he remove Viber and I re-install Viber for a cross/control.
If the problem disapperar for him and re-appear for me..... Bingo!
I think is a problem with contact archive and dialer. When I have this problem it work very slowely.

ho fatto il mio account gmail e poi ho installato viber e tutto ok.
poi ho ceduto il telefono a mia figlia la quale ha inserito la propria SIM. ha scaricato e installato viber e tutto ok; non so come ma ha tenuto l'account gmail che c'era (cioè il mio).
ora succede che quando chiamano il mio numero con viber squilla il suo telefono.
ho pensato che bisogna eliminare il mio account ma ciò non è possibile.
come deve fare mia figlia a cambiare l'account e a inserire il proprio? (che sarebbe anche utile per altre applicazioni) deve disinstallare viber e poi reinstallarlo?

@Viber. Viber re-installed. Now, after 6 hours "android core apps" 7% of battery. Yesterday 0% after 14 hours without Viber. Bingo? :)

Your daughter needs to open Viber, go to the "More" tab (at the bottom), and choose Deactivate.
Then, Viber will be deactivated, and all should be fine :)

Now, If she wants to have her own Viber on that phone (with her number as the Viber ID), she should register again, but this time enter her own phone number in the registration page.

Just thought I'd mention this:
back when you first released version 2.1 I reported huge battery drain (opened one or more tickets too). The issue was met by me and a bunch of other people (collegues) on several different phones (samsung, htc, lg) with different roms (both stock and custom). The drain was enourmous, like in a 9% battery drain every hour even leaving the phone unused on the desk... and it disappeared as soon as we uninstalled viber (and it was NOT present before version 2.1)
Since those days, I've tried other 2 or 3 times reinstalling viber, and every time I had to uninstall it at once 'cause the issue was still there.
Funny thing is: the issue appeared, as I said, on different phones/roms but.... not on every phone! What I mean is, for example: 2 people had the problem on 2 samsung i9000 with stock rom, but other collegues with the same phone and rom (and the same set of installed apps 'cause they were company phones) didn't have problems o_O Sure thing is: the ones with the problem kept having it no matter what, one of them even factory-resetted the phone and installed only viber just to see if it got any better... and it didn't.

Currently, alas, I'm not using Viber (can't have the phone lose 9% battery every hour without even using it), I had to switch to something else (which I won't mention), but I thought I'd report the above stuff hoping it could somehow give you even a small, tiny help in trying to find what's wrong.

Sul mio smartphone Viber va in crash frequentemente. Anche se non sto facendo niente. Ho un LG Optimus Black (LGP970). Succede lo stesso anche sul Samsung Galaxy Giò della mia ragazza. Ho provato anche a riportare il cell alla configurazione di fabbrica. Si pianta lo stesso continuamente.

Avevo già attivato Viber sul mio smartphone, e non chiedetemi come mia cognata per attivare Viber sul suo iphone ha usato il mio numero per accedere all'applicazione... insomma io ricevevo svariati codici di accesso, fin quando lei ha capito e ha attivato Viber con il suo numero. Ora io non riesco ad accedere a Viber: non ricevo il codice di attivazione... e se clicco "get code" e vado avanti l'esito è : "to enter a different phone number, pleas follow these steps...."

So che 40 pagine sono tante, ma se cerchi, in questo thread il rappresentante di viber ha spiegato come fare.
Bisogna disaccoppiare il primo telefono. Viber vuole una corrispondenza fra numero ed imei del telefono.
